**Responsibilities**

How’d you like to be part of something BIG? As part of the ticketing applications support team here at Universal Studios Hollywood you’ll be building and supporting various application software that help make Universal Studios the entertainment capital of LA!



The Ticketing Application team’s number one priority is ensuring that our various guest entry systems are delivering a stable and fast service. As a member of the team, you’ll help build, troubleshoot and operate a wide variety of applications and ensure system uptime, responsiveness and security. You’ll need to bring your communication skills as you’ll interact with team members across the IT and Business landscape and have an opportunity to be a direct contributor of exciting and new technology.



As a Programmer Analyst you will specifically help define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of guest entry systems and applications. You will work with a world-class team of programmer analysts, project managers, developers and business analysts on deploying and operating existing systems as well as contributing to new innovations.



•Analyze and document existing software solutions.

•Provide a system support role for day-to-day systems operations.

•Develop detailed test plans & conduct system testing.

•Collaborate with other UPR IT teams as needed to support the business requirements.

•Manage vendor software relationships.

•Define and manage small projects, timelines, budgets, deliverables and communication to the business.

•Provide regular status reporting

•Provide support for various hardware and software upgrades.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

•Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required; majors in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

•3-5 years of work experience in an IT support function

•Excellent understanding of SQL database and query best practices. Including triggers, stored procedures and reporting using SSRS

•Extensive relational database and operating systems experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

•Willingness to travel and or work weekends with short notice; Support during non-business hours as needed.

**Desired Characteristics**

•Experience supporting a large POS application

•Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

•Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams

•Hospitality industry experience preferred

•Strong communication skills

•Strong technical/analytical skills

•Results oriented with a history of problem resolution and prevention

•Effectively handle sensitive and confidential matters
