Job Description

The Global Distribution division within NBCUniversal is responsible for the domestic and international distribution of NBCUniversal product to all forms of linear and digital media (EST, VOD and SVOD). The World Wide New Media Servicing team is looking for an Assistant Manager who will procure, create and distribute metadata, artwork and other materials to new media licensees in accordance with contractual terms.


+ Source information from various internal/external sources and import into our database using our metadata tool.

+ Proofread, export and deliver metadata in Excel spreadsheets, XML or any other format in accordance with client specs for publishing online.

+ Create playlists for new seasons, bonus content, and episodes in client portals

+ Upload artwork and metadata to content management systems either manually or via automated delivery services such as Aspera

+ Work with multiple internal groups to source territory specific metadata such as ratings, title translations and release dates.

+ Work closely with the creative teams and partners to request localized artwork in multiple specs.

+ Coordinate with the Sales, Product Management, and Materials team to deliver high volumes of digital content for launches and troubleshoot issues.

+ Respond to client inquiries regarding content or deliveries.

+ React quickly to resolve short-term issues without losing track of longer-term tasks, prioritize requests, self-direct and maintain focus under strict deadline pressure and concurrent priorities

+ Perform other related duties as requested by management.


Basic Qualifications

+ 1-3 years of administrative support ideally within the media industry

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityAdditional Job Requirements

+ Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through to be considered

+ Must be willing to work in Universal City, California

**Desired Characteristics**

+ Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook 2010-2013

+ Experience processing high volume of email correspondence daily

+ Ability to work long hours as needed including weekends via company issued mobile device

+ Excellent attention to detail and time management

+ Advanced writing, proofreading and editing skills

+ Demonstrate a high level of professionalism when interacting with both internal teams and high-level clients

+ Ability to aggregate, verify, and process large amounts of information from various sources including internal teams with different processes and workflows

+ Basic project management skills; proven ability to draft, implement and refine processes for tracking own due dates and tasks across multiple projects

+ Positive work ethic with high degree of integrity and professionalism
