As an Associate Producer for TODAY, you will work directly with producers and senior producers to help pitch, write and produce news and entertainment content for broadcast.

Job Duties

+ Assist with full scope of production including research, booking and pre-interviewing

+ Write and produce segments (both tape and live)

+ Gather visual elements, prep graphics, edit b-rolls for segment production

+ Coordinate with technical and operations staff and outside resources, selected by producers


Basic Qualifications

+ Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, English, History or a related field of study

+ 2+ years of editorial experience working in production at the network level, preferably with morning television

+ Strong proficiency in Outlook and iNewsAdditional Job Requirements

+ Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through to be considered

+ Must be willing to work in New York

+ Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice

+ Must be “on call” 24 hours a day / 7 days a week

**Desired Characteristics**

+ DV shooting experience

+ Knowledge of non-linear editing systems including Avid

+ Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in news, current events and pop culture

+ Strong journalistic writing skills, research skills and editorial judgment

+ Strong interpersonal skills

+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments

+ Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices
