**Responsibilities**

**Role Summary:**

The Creative Operations department (UPCO) is a service group that produces and finishes a/v marketing materials on advertising campaigns for all Universal Pictures Home Entertainment titles, theatrical releases and other content required to promote NBC Universal properties.



The individual in this position will be responsible for managing, organizing and producing a/v materials for all Home Entertainment advertising campaigns and Brand Marketing pieces assigned to the Creative Operations department. The position reports directly to UPCO’s Producer for Home Entertainment and UPCO’s Brand Marketing Producer.

**Essential Responsibilities:**



+ Assist with and oversee the creation, from start to finish, of Home Entertainment trailers, TV spots, sales reels, co-branded spots and other creative a/v materials, as assigned to the department.

+ Effectively communicate to assigned editing and motion graphic staff the strategic direction given by creative executives.

+ Meet deadlines while working within budgets and assist Producers with tracking editor, producer and graphics time to guarantee correct billing.

+ Work closely with the Home Entertainment Marketing Creative Executives, Brand Marketing Executives and A/V Managers for both groups.

+ Coordinate the creation of motion graphics for integration into campaigns/materials.

+ Work with in-house music department for the selection and licensing of music used on A/V materials.

+ Handle confidential information and materials regarding not-yet released films.

+ Along with the Producers, help maintain freelance pool of editors, graphic artists, copywriters, narrators, production crews and any additional talent necessary to deliver assigned projects.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Basic Qualifications:



+ Minimum 4-year college degree preferred, specifically in film, marketing/business or communications.

+ Minimum 2 years creative management / producing experience working in the entertainment industry – preferably for a Studio, Network, Digital Platform or Creative Agency.

+ Demonstrates an ability to work effectively as an individual or a team player on multiple projects under extreme deadlines

+ Minimum 1 year experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Entourage/Outlook

+ Ability to write copy extremely helpful

+ Understanding of MPAA and network clearance issues for AV marketing materials helpful but not necessary.

+ Familiarity with Avid and After Effects, also post-production formats and deliverables preferred.

+ Strong communication skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects and the ability to diplomatically give and take direction with proven organizational expertise.

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills

+ Ability to take initiative, be proactive and have meticulous follow-through, in a fast paced environmentEligibility Requirements:
