Under general direction of the Director, the CAFM / Occupancy Planner is responsible for general CAFM and occupancy planning and reporting services across the NBCUniversal and DreamWorks portfolio. Applies knowledge to forecast space requirements based on verified existing space information, forecasted space supply/demand and growth projections. Provides metrics around current and future space needs. Participates in conceptualizing and the development of migration plans.

• Hands on leader of CAFM technology including the development and management of data entry and collection processes, key monthly and quarterly occupancy performance reporting.

• Leads a small staff of CAFM administrators responsible for updates in the system, adds, moves and changes, restack and efficiency scenario planning, and general data reliability.

• Collaborates with other team members to gain business intelligence. Responsible for occupancy data within the system of record. May be required to manage space walks for validation and update of occupancy metrics.

• Utilizing a CAFM database, manage allocations and maintain data accuracy, and perform quarterly data and drawing audits

• Communicates recommendations in written reports and graphic presentations. Produces graphic charts and diagrams for visual display of quantitative and qualitative information. Illustrates organizational, operational and functional relationships that pose physical and spatial impacts. Prepares plans, schematic schedules, stack and block fit plans.

• Attend client meetings, gather requirements and draft meeting minutes and obtain approvals to proceed. (headcount/growth, allocations, adjacencies, special support needs) Develops and execute phasing plans for relocation and sequencing based on the physical space requirements. Generates conceptual solutions that respond to client’s spatial requirements, physical planning constraints and IT, HR and compliance requirements.

• Use creative and analytical thinking to aggregate data from multiple sources and generate solution options for occupancy problems, providing analysis for client decision making

• Partners with other departments on move and relocation sequencing and execution. Liaise with Change and Move Management teams as needed.

• Reviews, and/or updates CAD drawings and/or related database(s).

• Report on building data, organizational data, and occupancy metrics at the campus, metro, or regional level using MS Excel and or MS PowerPoint

• Keeps abreast of changes, new developments, trends, and innovations in the field.


• Bachelor's degree in Management, Architecture, Design, Real Estate, Construction or any closely related field.

• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite applications including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.

• Proven ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously.

• Knowledge of construction methods and procedures.

**Desired Characteristics**

• At least 5-10 years work experience in occupancy or space planning for corporate clients; or interior office planning, move/project management or related Facilities function in a corporate real estate setting as a vendor or end user.

• Experience in generating presentation decks

• Excellent administrative and organizational skills.

• Proficiency with the following software: Centerstone, Archibus (or other CAFM tools) Autocad, Excel, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Powerpoint

• Ability to communicate effectively and work within a diverse corporate environment.
