Universal Consumer Products International oversees NBCUniversal's consumer product and digital licensing for Universal Pictures, Illumination Entertainment, DreamWorks Animations and NBC Television. Universal Consumer Products International is part of NBCUniversal.

The Commercial Director is responsible for managing our Agent relationships in the region to build a sustainable consumer products business that achieves annual revenue targets for the territories in North Latin America and South Latin America outside of Mexico and Brazil. He/she will develop and execute annual growth strategies by market that leverage the richness of NBCUniversal’s franchise portfolio.

As part of the LATAM Consumer Products team, the Commercial Director will be responsible for growing the CP business in line with divisional strategies and guidelines while leveraging a strong knowledge of the local markets’ individual needs and opportunities. He/she will be responsible for managing our agent relationships, setting annual growth targets and action plans for each and evaluating their performance against plan. In addition, the Commercial Director will be responsible for driving the retail strategy in the LATAM territories outside of Mexico and Brazil.



+ Set and execute an annual growth target and business development strategy for each agent (by market) that takes into account regional opportunities and specificities. Continuously benchmark progress against plan and tweak accordingly.

+ Prioritize key markets within the region for accelerated growth while nurturing developing markets **Financial:**

+ Ensure all markets deliver (or exceed) annual revenue targets. Provide quarterly business forecasts to evaluate progress against budget. Highlight any upsides or sensitivities. **Market Development:**

+ Day-to-day management of licensing agents to ensure clear goals and deliverables. Conduct regular performance reviews and suggest agent appointments and modifications as necessary.

+ Ensure clear & timely communication of business strategies and assets with agents. **Business Development:**

+ Ensure the agents are executing against the Category strategies to fill market gaps.

+ Critically evaluate the licensee base by market to ensure each is performing as planned & highlight concerns as appropriate.

+ Raise all new business opportunities to the category management teams for evaluation.

+ Visit the markets at least once a year to ensure key content messages reach retailers and licensees (roadshows/licensee events) **Franchise Development:**

+ Develop a clear franchise growth & diversification plan by market for all of the core properties and identify market-specific opportunities

+ Ensure agents receive required franchise plans and assets in a timely manner **People Management:**

+ Ensure regular contact (weekly/bi-weekly) with each agent

+ Build a close bond, mentor and support internal category manager and support staff

+ Be prepared to report back with regular business updates **Retail Development:**

+ Identify the key retail partners by market. Develop relationships with the decision makers at your Key Accounts.

+ Understand key seasonalities and a important dates on the retail calendar

+ Ensure the agents are developing retail programs leveraging licensees’ promotional commitments


Basic Qualifications:

+ 5-10 years experience at a senior level in international licensing and product merchandising within the region

+ Strategic thinker able to communicate a compelling vision for the business

+ Substantive experience in international licensing and product merchandising within the region

+ Current network of strong relationships with agents, licensees, distributors and retailers within the territory

+ Background in building brands across various channels of distribution

+ Proven track record delivering growth and solid analytical/financial skills

+ Proven ability pitching and negotiating skills with the ability to close deals

+ Self-motivated professional with ability to work independently and take charge

+ Strong people person able to influence others

+ Ability to customize / create sales presentations and other materials as needed
