• Minimum 10 years of proven creative director experience and direct creative responsibilities within an agency, media company or in-house creative department.

• Strong production and creative management background.

• Must have a track record/strong background in comedic writing and producing; excellent script writing skills are imperative.

• Must be a doer with hands-on ability to work with small team with effective results.

• Highly collaborative and flexible individual who values opinions and feedback.

• Ability to create, manage and multi-task work within changing deadlines, juggling numerous projects.

• Must have strong presentation and communication skills and foster a strong relationship with NBCU Brand Directors and the division SVP of Marketing.

Specific Creative Director Duties Include:

-Conceiving of and writing all promotional spots for on air and off air.

-Works closely with VP of Programming to determine and develop short and long-form programming ideas for network shows on all platforms.

-Supervises producer/editor day to day in edit bay as well as any freelance editors. Gives creative direction and production notes on all on-air content; manages the finalizing and outputting promos from the edit room to air.

-Manages day to day and long-term workflow of all creative to meet deadline and budget; provides SVP and EP regular updates.

-Works with digital manager to isolate and assess outside vendors for creation of social media content.

-Provides quarterly creative status reports and “road map” detailing creative vision for future show promotion, marathons, buzzy stunts and all other multi-platform brand and marketing initiatives.

-Provides detailed yearly creative long-term network brand vision and strategy document.

-Engages in weekly marketing update meetings with division SVP of marketing and fosters strong relationship with NBCU Brand Directors.

-When necessary, works with VP of Programming and Promotion to develop pitches for division sales teams and Skycastle branded content unit.

-Works closely with staff graphic artist to ensure brand consistency and defines ways to continually evolve on-air look and provides regular update reports to network SVP and EP.

-Runs weekly Creative Meeting with staff.

-Will handle all creative development of any new division diginet projects.
