The Digital Marketing Sales Specialist is responsible for managing inbound leads while supporting sales enablement and activities for our local market digital sales teams. This role will be focused on driving revenue growth by managing inbound business development and nurturing of leads generated by Local Solutions Marketing efforts. This role will also actively coach digital sales through effective media planning, product and fulfillment processes; providing best practices and guidance across CMG markets.

This individual will work closely with the Local Solutions Marketing team, serving as the first point-of-contact for inbound leads and working closely with sales and marketing to increase the close ratio of marketing-generated leads. This will include assisting with lead scoring, partnering with the local sales teams, managing live chat and incoming phone calls, and identifying gaps where new sales enablement tools and/or sales collateral are needed. He or she will be asked to assist in proposal creation and will partner with the Digital Campaign Managers to support fulfillment.

In addition, this individual will work closely with local market Digital Specialists as well as CMG Digital Revenue & Operations Product, Marketing, and Fulfillment team members to proactively identify and address ways to increase digital revenue. They will collaborate with their fellow Local Solutions Specialists to maximize idea sharing and establish best practices. This role will be required to maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of digital advertising including digital media industry trends and Local Solutions go-to-market strategies. He or she must also be able to translate that knowledge into streamlined and effective information for the sales teams to address advertiser goals and increase revenue.

• Proactively manages all inbound leads and nurture through the sales cycle including direct communication with leads and providing the local market with proposal and strategy support.
• Develops and manages Inbound Lead SOP including scripting and intake information as well as defining process for effectively transitioning the lead to the local sales team.
• Partners with Marketing Department to track and analyze performance of lead generation campaigns focusing on increasing the close ratio of marketing-generated leads through lead scoring, qualification, market feedback and providing recommendations for optimizations.
• Uses detailed knowledge of all digital ad products and go-to-market sales strategies offered by CMG Local Solutions to advise sellers & digital team members on effective digital campaign solutions and use of digital products to achieve advertiser goals and KPIs.
• Maintains detailed knowledge of all digital fulfillment processes supported by CMG Local Solutions.
• Responsible for proactively collecting and sharing best practices and establishing accurate expectation setting with local markets and clients on certified Local Solution digital products to ensure desired client KPIs are achieved.
• Supports the Digital Product Managers and Digital Fulfillment team resources to ensure proper execution of digital advertising products, services and solutions. Identify gaps and finds solutions.
• Works jointly with Directors of Digital Revenue Development to maintain market accountability with distributed leads and builds upon local market knowledge providing resources to increase digital revenue.
• Manage creation, modification and updates of sales-focused materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding digital products, services, and fulfillment processes.
• Continue to enhance our position as a trusted and preferred digital provider to our clients by providing assistance to local market Digital Specialists through presentation material creation and proposal development in alignment with customer needs and goals.
• Required to obtain and maintain certifications from digital media industry leaders, including, but not limited to: IAB, Yext, and Google.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working in a digital advertising role.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working directly with sales and marketers.
• Proven skills in training collateral creation as well as training facilitation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to relay technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and consistently set and exceed service goals.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize assignments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly.
• Extensive travel required ~50%.
• BA/BS from a 4-year university or equivalent preferred.
