**Role Summary:**

Director, Accounting and Reporting, will be responsible for various accounting and reporting requirements for the Filmed Entertainment Segment to NBCUniversal Corporate and external parties. The role is in a fast paced environment with opportunities for growth.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

+ Key contributor to the quarter close and financial reporting processes, including review of journal entries, variance analysis and supporting schedules.

+ Oversee consolidation and statutory filing requirements for various international subsidiaries, including managing external specialist, external auditors and liaise with our Corporate tax department.

+ Manage and work with Theatrical distribution finance teams for all aspects of quarter close and consolidation, and assist with accounting advice on new deals.

+ Manage Fixed Assets accounting processes, including monthly close and reconciliations to subledger, as well as support FP&A with CapEx reporting.

+ Review quarterly account reconciliations, driving proficiency within the parameters of NBCUniversal policies.

+ Working closely with the Assistant Controller and Controller to ensure there are adequate levels of review and oversight over the domestic and international business units’ accounting and reporting processes.

+ Perform technical accounting research as required, assist in providing technical guidance to and work with business units to implement new standards as necessary.

+ Manage and develop Film HQ controllership staff (managers, and senior financial analysts).

+ Managing SOX 404 key controls, certification, quarterly reviews, annual audit and statutory audits.

+ Drive initiatives that identify process improvement opportunities and build efficiencies into existing reporting routines.

+ Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.


Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

+ Minimum of 8+ years of accounting related experience. Combination of public accounting and entertainment industry preferred.

+ CPA preferred

+ Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

+ Strong leadership skills and ability to work with multiple business units/divisions.

+ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in this fast-paced environment.

+ Strong Project Management skills, detail oriented, proactive approach to problem solving.

+ Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of Powerpoint

+ Knowledge of Business Warehouse / SAP preferredEligibility Requirements:
