**Responsibilities**

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Basic Qualifications:



+ Minimum 8 years of experience in digital analytics, marketing, research.

+ Bachelor’s or Master’s with a specialization in Marketing, Digital Media, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science and/or Operations Research



Qualifications



+ Experience turning raw data into actionable insights that lead to strategy and presenting/disseminating those findings to various teams.

+ Expertise with social media analytics, including reporting on creative for campaigns and posts and finding patterns within those analytics that inform content production and growth marketing strategies.

+ Ability to manage and conduct reporting around media buying data with a focus on driving spend toward meeting viewcount goals.

+ Deep understanding of organic algorithms on various social channels and how changes affect placement of video and social content.

+ Experience developing advanced KPIs and algorithms around predictive intelligence and growth.

+ Expert in manipulation and accurate analysis of complex, high volume, high dimensionality data from various sources with emphasis on digital content and social media.

+ Understanding of tagging structures for web analytics tools similar to Adobe Analytics/Omniture

+ Experience building comprehensive data architectures for tracking, storing and making actionable consumer data from various sources.

+ Familiarity with SQL, Python, Java, Hive and/or Hadoop +Large Data Warehousing environments (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)



Leadership Abilities



+ Successful oversight of audience development and analytics team including growth, data science and strategy.

+ Demonstrated ability leading large data initiatives with a focus on presentations and interactions with other teams and clients.

+ Visionary ability to grow data capabilities beyond current internal as well as competitions’ systems

+ Ensure accurate and timely completion of strategic projects for executive team, including market and genre analysis, competitive title assessment, benchmarking and analytics supporting internal planning and strategy

+ Develop and Champion the implementation and adoption of new data initiatives both conceptually and in the fulfillment of critical tools and processes

+ Demonstrated hunger for new insights

+ Proven self-direction

+ Ability to:

+ Lead team to make informed business decisions

+ Provide guidance around translating data into insights

+ Think creatively and tell meaningful, actionable stories with data

+ Mentor your team as well as encourage and support data exploration

+ Effectively represent business intelligence priorities and communicate at the executive and senior management level

+ Interact with other NBCU research teams on a regular basis.

**Desired Characteristics**

+ Experience interfacing with clients and/or internal teams for data presentations and gathering.

+ Familiarity and experience with broadcast entertainment, media planning, and social media marketing

+ Team-oriented and collaborative approach with a desire to learn new methods and tools

+ Experience with data visualization techniques and tools like Domo, Tableau, and Microstrategy

+ Proven experience in building data function/capabilities including staff, tools, and processes

+ Ability to support key functional groups with the construction and analysis of applicable forecasts and models using multiple data sources to support assertions. This may include strategy documents and presentation materials.

+ MBA a plus
