**Responsibilities**

The Director, CRM and Database Marketing is responsible for leading the marketing database development and CRM programs to drive qualified leads and conversion on USH commerce platforms for Universal Studios Hollywood theme park, Universal CityWalk entertainment area, and seasonal park events (such as Halloween Horror Nights). This role will oversee all email and loyalty programs for these brands.



Experience Transformation

•Represent USH on UPR guest experience transformation team for development of long term shared technology applications leveraging guest database.

•Provide knowledge transfer and input for USH-specific guest experience and database marketing efforts.

•Recommend best-of-breed technology platforms for CRM activities.



Marketing Database

•Lead database development work to enable enhanced Marketing capabilities.

•Manage database for CRM program application.

•Guide data capture efforts across marketing & sales touch points.

•Analyze complex sets of data, provide insights, and utilize target and predictive modeling for lead generation and conversion programs.

•Partner with IT on database configuration and capabilities across UPR shared platforms.



CRM

•Develop short and long term acquisition and CRM strategies for email and loyalty programs.

•Lead digital contact strategy that drives ticket sales revenue and loyalty, as well as brand communications for guests pre and post arrival.

•Execute B2B and B2C CRM strategy and programs to expand qualified reach, increase relevancy and maximize revenues.

•Develop and maintain email calendars as well as trigger campaigns and lifecyle programs.

•Utilize controlled testing to measure real-world impacts of CRM programs and optimization efforts.

•Ensure deep understanding of mobile landscape and technologies to optimize email/CRM channel performance.

•Manage reporting of campaign results and socialization with marketing partners.

•Partner with marketing strategy and digital marketing teams to deliver specialty product and ecommerce attendance, yield and revenue objectives.

•Partner with IT to identify and implement technology requirements.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

•Minimum 5 years of experience in CRM and transactional database marketing.

•Demonstrated ability to partner with IT function on database development.

•Demonstrated experience leading high-volume CRM/email strategies and programs with a major ESP.

•Executive presence with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

•Demonstrated experience presenting data and recommendations to senior executives

•Demonstrated focus on achieving extraordinary results

•Analytic and data-based decision-making skills

•Collaborative team player

•Demonstrated high productivity and ability to lead numerous, detailed projects

**Desired Characteristics**

•Experience in and passion for theme park, entertainment or travel related industry

•Advanced degree in business, CRM, marketing or related disciplines.

•Experience with Salesforce (Exact Target) platform.
