Job Scope

The Director of Cross Platform Sales will report to the Vice President of Advertising Sales and will be responsible for managing and supporting the new media efforts for the multiple websites (listed below) that the Advertising Sales Department is responsible for generating revenue for. Revenue goals will be met through the sale of site sponsorships, banner advertisements, pre-rolls, streaming games and database marketing. The DCPS will also act as the liaison between the Advertising Sales department and the teams to create unique opportunities for the sites. The DCPS will need to work closely with the NBC Ad Operations department to modify schedules to fulfill client campaigns. The Director of Cross Platform Sales will also be responsible for maintaining the digital inventory grids, collecting and trafficking creative and generating proof of performance. And meeting weekly with the digital lead to provide the sales team with updated sponsorship opportunities. The DCPS will work closely with the NSM and LSM on sponsor integration, and go on calls with the AE’s when needed. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of research, marketing and competitive environment of the interactive/new media landscape. The Director of Cross Platform Sales must be able to utilize research appropriately and effectively in presentations. The Director must be able to interact effectively, efficiently and with positive results with a variety of personality types and professions both internally and externally.


+ Responsible for creating and maintaining a website rate card, sales packages, presentations and inventory grids for all NBC Sports Bay Area and California new media/interactive websites and components in Philadelphia.

+ Sell programs and assist the sales efforts of Local Account Executives & NBC OTS and HTS national sales teams.

+ Manage Digital Campaign Manager and Digital Sales planner

+ Develop and grow relationships at multiple levels of the client’s organization

+ Send appropriate material to be trafficked and billed

+ Proactively communicate on the progress of all campaigns, success stories and areas of concerns.

+ Respond to all client requests, complaints and inquiries in a timely, calm and professional manner. Find creative solutions to satisfy client issues and fulfill each agreement.

+ Collect Proof of Performance documentation throughout each season for all accounts. This information will be used at the end of each season for Account Recaps in either presentation or video format and will assist in building a strong and loyal relationship with our top clients.

+ Information collected will include, but is not limited to, screen shots and impression tracking reports.

+ Ensure that our digital advertising procedures are in compliance with Industry, FCC, NHL, NBA and legal standards.

+ Meet and exceed defined service standards of excellence.

+ Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Basic Qualifications/Requirements

+ Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

+ Minimum of 5 years of digital/advertising sales experience.

+ Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through to be considered

+ Ability to build client relationships, both internally and externally.

+ Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing.

+ Excellent telephone communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Superior problem solver, with the ability to work independently.

+ Ability to work with deadlines and prioritize tasks.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

+ Ability and willingness to work beyond normal business hours, including nights, weekends and events.
