The Director of Golf Channel Product and Technology is a leadership position that will oversee the development and management of Golf Channel’s digital properties including GolfChannel.com and Golf Channel’s mobile applications

+ Lead the product and technology teams that develop and deliver Golf Channel’s website and mobile applications

+ Manage external vendor relationships

+ Work directly with NBC and Comcast technology groups to manage streaming, hosting and product delivery

+ Work with key business owners to Imagine, drive and develop new products to both United States and International marketsImagine, create and drive roadmaps for both technical and product related features

+ Research and stay up on competitor’s products and offerings in the marketplace.

+ Motivate, mentor and grow the product and technology team

+ Conduct competitive analysis and drive business and product development decisions.

+ Lead the Product and Project teams; track status, resolve issues, and coordinate communication during the entire product development process and ensure timely and effective product releases.

+ Define, track and improve key product metrics.

+ Conduct research and data analysis to identify customer needs and improve product quality.

+ Provide progress updates to other technology and business leaders

+ Manage multiple development priorities from multiple business owners

+ Solve problems, creatively plan and quickly negotiate the most efficient paths to results

+ Drive the SDLC while creating new streamlined processes, destroy worthless processes

+ Work closely with the quality team in implementing test driven development

+ Work closely with quality, platform and data technology teams to create roadmaps for our future products that converge the distribution platforms and business technology products

+ A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree a plus.

+ Minimum of 10 years experience working with CMS systems

+ Minimum of 5 years work experience required in an applicable/transferable experience: roles in engineering and technical leadership

+ Experience working and managing relationships with vendors and internal partners in a large enterprise environment

+ Experience with building Over the Top (OTT) platforms

+ Experience delivering and securing content via CDNs such as Akamai

+ Deep knowledge of video streaming/transcoding, authentication and delivery

+ Knowledge of Native App platforms (iOS, Platforms,

+ Micro-Service based architectures

+ Curiosity and interest in developing areas of technology such as Artificial Intelligence, Automation, federated/global architectures

+ Knowledge of Golf Channel, NBC Sports, GolfNow and key stakeholders desirable but not essential
