Role Summary:

The Digital Ad Sales Finance team is a centralized organization supporting revenue across the Entertainment, Lifestyle, News, Sports, and Hispanic Sales verticals as well as Strategic Partnerships (“Partners”). Ad Sales Finance supports all aspects of budgeting and reporting of Advertising Sales revenue. The Director, FP&A’s role within Ad Sales Finance will be to manage the day-to-day revenue metrics, financial reporting, and project management. The role reports directly to the SVP of Digital Ad Sales Finance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Aggregation and analysis of revenue and trends across all Verticals and Products

• Revenue pacing against targets

• Development of portfolio-wide Key Metrics dashboards

• Oversee forecasting of portfolio products (Programmatic, Partners, etc.)

• Responsible for financial closing of portfolio products and Partners

• Create aggregated Budget and Long Range Plan presentations

• Management of financial relationships with existing Partners (YouTube, Buzzfeed, Vox, AOL, etc.)

• Operationalizing financial processes for future Partnerships

• Provide internal support to the Digital Ad Sales Finance team and lead portfolio-wide initiatives

• Successfully manage, develop and motivate a team

• Work cross-functionally on ad hoc, Sales related project work



• BA/BS 4-year degree in business, accounting or finance

• 5+ years of finance or accounting experience with a focus in media

• Prior experience in Financial Planning & Analysis required

Eligibility Requirements:

• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice

• Must be willing to work in New York, NY

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

• Must be 18 years or older

**Desired Characteristics**

• Prior experience in a finance role supporting an ad sales function within a media or entertainment company highly desired

• Demonstrated analytical strength and process mindset - ability to identify and resolve key issues quickly

• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with accuracy

• Ability to build financial models and presentations for senior leadership

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Demonstrated leadership skills, especially ability to influence and lead change in cross-functional teams

• High energy and ability to multi-task
