The Director, Franchise Management will drive the growth and development of NBCUniversal franchises by creating and managing innovative plans that maximize NBCU IP, particularly existing or future franchises, across company and help ensure long-term success of the brands, and ultimately drive revenue and long-term value of NBCUniversal. Reports directly to the VP, Franchise Management.

Job Duties:

**Franchise Strategy & Development**

+ Partner with VP, Franchise to develop strategic business plans for franchises and guide implementation to drive revenue and build brands.

+ Lead bi-annual business planning considering lifecycle, revenue potential, portfolio fit and long-term proposition

+ Lead development of bridge content and digital/social strategies to manage lifecycle for franchise

+ Help to manage and define current brand portfolio, while working to identify new opportunities across key demographics and platforms

+ Analyze and track relevant metrics to support business case modeling and scenarios.

+ Partner with theatrical brand marketing and CP marketing teams to maximize theatrical initiatives across CP businesses

+ Partner with CPG teams to develop and drive franchise opportunities **Brand Stewardship**

+ Act as brand champion and ambassador for internal and external needs outside of the content window, and support brand marketing team during film windows.

+ Connect key brand stakeholders and coordinate cross-company activations, including bridge year campaigns

+ Develop creative briefs and partner with creative and product development teams to ideate authentic and merchandisable brand extensions and refreshes

+ Represent Brand Development opportunities and drive franchise coordination across key cross-company businesses **Communication & Collaboration**

+ Create presentations and other communications to disseminate franchise strategies and secure alignment

+ Responsible for franchise communication to and in support of regional teams: NA, Europe, Japan, Latin America and Asia/Pacific on brand vision, ideation and growth strategy **Marketing**

+ Ensures brand integrity and provides approval on high-level activations that support CP, Games & Digital and Live Entertainment

+ Drives development of marketing confidence plans in collaboration with CDD ensuring there are strong campaign themes, tentpole marketing moments, content, product drivers, and creative assets to support.

+ Develop Franchise Brand Guidelines

+ Presents brand perspective at licensee and retailer pitches to support with brand information, story beats and sensitive materials.

+ Partners with filmmakers on approval for high-visibility programs

+ Develop and implement bridge period strategies including marketing and fan engagement programs

+ Manages HALO program marketing and event activations

+ Manages marketing and franchise budgets


Basic Qualifications:

+ 7+ years marketing, franchise management or brand management experience: Consumer Products or Franchise Management background preferred

+ Creative collaborator, skilled facilitator and savvy influencer

+ Ability to interact with senior leadership and key stakeholders

+ Experience in marketing, presentations and communication key

+ Experience in kids entertainment or Kids-related businessAdditional Job Requirements
