**Responsibilities**

The Food Operations Department consists of multi-unit food restaurants and food and beverage carts. Our co-branded restaurant concepts include Ben & Jerry’s, Starbuck’s, Panda Express, Cinnabon,and highly themed restaurant concepts



As a Director for Food Operations, you will directly supervise a team of multi-unit Food Area Managers for the theme park and any self-operated concepts in our CityWalk mixed use entertainment venue. In the Director role, you will be accountable for achieving all annual operating profit goals through driving sales, developing and retaining exceptional talent, and achieving superior and consistent operational excellence. The Director will be instrumental in executing strategic plans, while championing guest satisfaction, employee motivation and positive fiscal results.



Responsibilities include:

People Leadership

• Supporting all internal guests (employees), so that they are able to provide excellent products and services to our park guests.

• Partnering with Human Resources Manager and Training Manager to continuously train and develop all area teams.

• Administering performance evaluations, development recommendations and succession planning.

• Lead and support management team in training and coaching their staff for “Best in Class” service standards

• Communicating successes and opportunities effectively with Senior Management while making recommendations for continuous improvement.



Operational Excellence

• Ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding safety, labor, employment, Union guidelines, and food handling and quality as well as Company policies and procedures.

• Ensuring department weekly staffing budgets are achieved to maximize guest service and profitability.

• Developing department strategies that are in line with departmental and corporate objectives to ensure excellent communication and implementation.

• Conduct Semi-Annual menu review in coordination with Executive chef and take maximum advantage of current trends



Financial Management

• Analyzing department financial reports to quickly identify and address trends and issues in area performance, including cost of goods, shrink, variable labor and profitability.

• Ensuring department teams maximize sales through upselling, guest service and consistent visual presentation standards.

• Partner with Loss Prevention to ensure operating procedures are consistently followed and policies are adhered to.

• Exceeding annual operating profit targets.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of Directorial experience in multi-unit, high volume, quality chain or independent restaurant group.

• Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and POS systems.

**Desired Characteristics**

• Must have proven success in controlling costs, maximizing profit and directly supervising multiple managers.

• Must have experience in the development and implement of strong SOPs to drive consistency and quality of product and guest services.

• Must be experienced in partnering with culinary team on menu development, culinary and understanding of product quality control tools and metrics.

• Must have experience in leading projects (seasonal promotions, new restaurant projects, remodels, infrastructure projects, etc.) from start to finish with proven track record.

• Proven track record and experience in the development and implementation of strong training programs and tools developed to reduce employee attrition and create internal culture of development for staff.

Ability to achieve results through the flawless execution of strategies and objectives.

• Excellent management skills in leading a diverse team and working under tight and fast track deadlines.

• Strong P+L experience, command of budgeting and costs controls

• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate across all lines of business, and with all levels of management.

• Strong organizational, planning, delegation, mentoring and coaching skills.

• Ability to deal well with ambiguity and constant change.

• A strong passion for delivering the highest quality of guest service.
