**Responsibilities**

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Global Audio Visual Services will be responsible for defining, implementing and delivering the Audio/Visual (AV) Services for NBC Universal. The selected candidate will lead a team of direct and matrix reports in the delivery of AV services and support globally. Responsible for approximately 400 AV conference room setups globally. The Director will be highly committed to promoting service excellence by harmonizing AV systems, services, and processes, with the goal of providing a consistent end user experience.



•Director will provide planning, oversight and management of AV and related technology projects, including those associated with office build outs, relocations, refreshes, etc.

•Develop and implement the AV technology service strategies, including multi-year road maps based on business requirements and industry guidelines

•Define AV service levels to ensure appropriate support levels and efficient use of resources.

•Accountable for budget forecasting, resource planning, deployments, maintenance contracts, inventory orders and expenditures related to the support of AV systems worldwide.

Vendor Management – Ability to work effectively with AV integrators, distributors and equipment manufacturers.

- Ability to work effectively with third party staffing/contractor agencies .

•Build relationships with key stakeholders and top users of the firm’s AV systems in order to better understand needs and areas for improvement.

•Lead the successful delivery of multiple simultaneous AV projects.

•Ensure financial and human resources, as well as organizational structure, are in place and operating effectively to provide effective delivery of AV Service

•Liaise with internal clients to ensure end-user adoption, fostering a positive, collaborative relationship across departments and locations to ensure key business drivers are met.

•Establish and deliver metrics and report on AV initiatives.

•Build and develop a strong technical understanding within the team of the solutions provided by the IT function.

•Continually facilitate knowledge transfer and sharing within the team.

•Ensure there is 24/ 7 AV support in place, especially in offices that do not have dedicated on site AV personnel.

-Possibility for both domestic and international travel in course of job duties.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED SKILLS

•10 + years of relevant experience, including at least three (3) + years in a managerial role, preferably working for a global organization.

•Exceptional knowledge of Cisco TMS and VCS, SX series codecs and Telepresence, VOIP, SIP, H323, Creston, Polycom Endpoints (HDX/VVX/RMX), and AV cloud collaboration solutions.

•Experience in broadcasting, video production, multimedia, or related field a plus.

•Project development, program implementation and service delivery experience with: TelePresence, Video Conferencing, Multimedia Operations, AV Hardware/Software, and Unified Communications.

•Experience with streamlining, implementing, and globalizing policies and procedures that simplify the services provided.

•Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.

•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple initiatives simultaneously, and prioritizing work to meet and/or exceed established service levels.

•Ability to think logically and creatively in problem solving.

•Thorough understanding of a wide variety of audio, video, and control systems.

•Solid knowledge of AV industry best practices.

•Understanding of and experience with service management best practices and process frameworks, such as ITIL, to drive continual process improvement.

•College degree required; Advanced degree desired.
