The Director of Marketing for CoxReps and Gamut will provide strategic thought-leadership and develop and evolve multi-channel marketing strategies. They will possess a demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization while creating compelling stories. The generation of both compelling sales, marketing, and training materials will be at the core of the role. You will be responsible for generating PowerPoint presentations, sales materials, brochures, videos, one sheets, trade show materials, premiums and all touch points for the CoxReps and Gamut organizations. This is a great opportunity to shape a marketing strategy as well as tactically execute it with internal team and the support of external vendors. The selected candidate will steward the strong CoxReps and Gamut brands into the digital age, aid new business efforts, develop marketable products for our TV and digital assets, and has a passion for using data to develop and evolve multi-channel marketing strategies.


The Director of Marketing will work to socialize and promote the brand both internally and externally. Working as the brand steward, the Director of Marketing will manage vendors, designers, writers, and marketing staff to create brand standards for the organization.


The candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of an enterprise organization. The generation of both compelling sales and training materials will be at the core of the role along with uplifting the spirit of the organization. You will be responsible for serving direct sellers as well as aiding the overarching CoxReps and Gamut digital initiative.


We are looking for a Director with 5-7 years of experience in marketing with some familiarity of media research; someone who has experience marketing a digital brand, and someone with a strong portfolio of proven results. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working as a change agent and a subject matter expert within the organization. The Director of Marketing reports to the VP of Insights, Analytics, Content & Marketing for CoxReps and Gamut.


Experience working with Nielsen Products, comScore, Experian, and Kantar is a plus.


Job Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of writers, designers, and marketing staff
  • Socialize data, consumer insights and digital products
  • Orient teams and promote value internally and externally
  • Create sales materials that clearly outline our value proposition(s)
  • Employ the creative ability to multi-task and work across different databases,
    disciplines and project types
  • Develop client communication strategies, marketing strategies, and digital training tools that assure ongoing and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate and analyze vendors and partners
  • Aid in the development of qualitative sales/marketing presentations that focus on consumer behaviors/trends on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensure that the marketing and consumer insights department maintains the highest level of customer service
  • Ensure internal and external clients are always delighted and receive impactful, timely work
  • Identify and communicate client needs to appropriate account team members
  • Rapidly prototype concepts to support team collaboration
  • Develop and contribute to creative briefs used internally and in client meetings
  • Uplift the brand and help to develop internal company pride
  • Keeps abreast of industry trends and represent CoxReps and Gamut at industry/trade events

Qualifications

Qualifications and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or Management preferred
  • Detail-oriented, excellent follow through, ability to multitask, manage projects and workflow, and work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing & media insights role within an ad agency, business intelligence company, broadcast, cable or media company, or digital media company
  • Experience with digital and cross-media advertising and marketing
  • Must have experience developing sophisticated marketing strategy, research and reporting plans
  • Deep expertise in multiple consumer/professional segments with a solid grounding in consumer/professional insight, brand marketing and digital technology
  • Must be a strategic communicator in written and verbal presentation
  • Must be an excellent story teller – compelling, believable, consumable
  • Curiosity and aptitude to learn about marketing, brands, advertising, technology and media
  • Develop unique and innovative approaches to data analysis and industry trend monitoring
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and scopes 
  • Support the development of proposals and project plans for new projects
