**Responsibilities**

Setting the Scene

There is no production without post production. The team is responsible for StudioPost’s Picture and Audio Post Production Operations, including dailies processing, color correction, composting and much more! By working together, the team provides excellence of service while optimizing the cost of service delivery and enabling scalable operations solutions.



The Director of Operational Improvement is responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives and process change for StudioPost. The Business Process Improvement position operates to support the organization in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities to optimize services to be delivered to our customers. This role is the driving force for managing improvement and initiatives across teams to deliver business results. The Director will lead multiple projects, assist in development of staff and play a key role in influencing change within and across StudioPost. The Director will be required to champion and deploy business and process improvement methodologies and toolsets across StudioPost build capability through knowledge sharing and coaching.



Incumbent will also interact with customers on an as needed basis to resolve issues, review and create workflow documentation.

• Support development of and refine documentation of StudioPost’s processes, practices (SOP) and workflows. Develop and promote adoption within the organization best practices.

• Help departments implement smooth, speedy and efficient workflow in all areas.

• Coordinate with manager to create SOPs, workflow programs and related systems to ensure successful implementation and ongoing maintenance and support.

• Develop and manage training around new SOPs and workflows for StudioPost

• Manage and monitor business analysis of new workflows and SOPs to insure success.

• Manage and monitor enhancements, process and system procedure guides.

• Perform special studies and projects to improve process assumptions, workflows and practices.

• Assist in problem-solving on related topics between user departments, service departments and vendors.

• Assist in research and theory testing.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Zoom-in

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Film and TV production and/ or operations, or related field

• Minimum of 15 plus-years’ experience in Post Production, with understanding of pre-production and broad knowledge and experience of sound and picture post-production processes, workflows and technologies.

• Experience developing existing relationships with Studio Executives, Post Supervisors, Picture Editors, Directors, etc.

• Experience with restructuring businesses or internal organizations. Candidate must demonstrate ability to assess staff, talent, organizational structures, workflows and SOPs.

• Demonstrate previous process improvement efforts

• Candidate must demonstrate change management skills and ability

• Demonstrable very strong understanding of new and emerging digital production and post-production technologies, new media platforms and evolving film and TV release formats and delivery requirements.

• Ability to accurately message company and group technical direction to staff and talent

• Ability to motivate teams

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed for the operation

• Strong Data management/Media Management process understanding

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to collaboration and work in a team environment.

• Experience managing groups of talent (editors/colorist) and project managers.

• Strong ability to trouble shoot operational situations

• Interest in re-inventing post production services from a talent, technical, workflow and operational perspective
