**Responsibilities**

The Director, Post Operations, will lead a team of staff and freelance Assistant Editors, Media Managers, Creative and Post Technicians across the Englewood Cliffs, NJ and 30 Rock Post Production facilities. This individual will be in a key leadership role for the department as a whole and responsible for informing the department’s strategic roadmap and actualizing it’s tactical implementation. This individual will ensure the technical infrastructure workflows and personnel are operating productively and in alignment with the larger goals of the department; in support of his/her team as well as the larger supply chain. The individual is also responsible for the quality and reliability of personnel and workflows. Candidate will be a key partner and liaison to his/her clients and peers including engineering, finance and brand leadership. The candidate will be responsible for financial and productivity targets as well as selected strategic initiatives.



+ Manage and lead all staff/freelance Assistant Editors, Media Managers, Creative and Operational Post Technicians

+ Play a key role in supporting and implementing the vision and strategy of the Post department as a whole

+ Key liaison and partner to peer and client groups

+ Ensure availability, reliability and growth across personnel, workflows and infrastructure, with a specific focus on media orchestration, prep and support

+ Financial adherence and accuracy in personnel, operating and capital budgets

+ Assess personnel and processes on a routine basis to develop workflow improvements that will enable continued growth within the environment, collaborating closely with other Operations and Engineering leaders

+ Seek out, identify and lead key strategic and growth initiatives within the department

+ Oversee the hiring and training of staff/freelance personnel as needed

**Qualifications/Requirements**



+ A minimum of 10 years’ experience in post-production, 5 within management

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

+ Avid & Adobe Creative Suite experience a must

+ Working knowledge of transcoding, automated qc, media management, audio mixing, color correction and file transport technologies a must

+ Knowledge of video formats, digital file types and codecs

+ Knowledge of media processing in an on-prem and cloud environment a must

+ Detailed Oriented and extremely organized

+ Excellent Client Service skills

+ Excellent management, communication and leadership skills

+ Demonstrated ability to manage financials including personnel and project budgets

+ Working knowledge of post and production ecosystems

+ Flexible Hours
