Director Post-Production & Graphics Operations reports to the Senior Vice President of Creative Operations and is responsible for oversight of Marketing and Creative Shared Services’ Post Production and Graphics Operations. The primary objectives of this role is to optimize the cost of service delivery and enable scalable operations solutions, while providing excellence of service.

• Ensure operational excellence through workflow and process analysis and refinement for post and graphics services

• Responsible for the post-production process, which includes maintaining clarity of information and good channels of communication between creative team, editor, supervising sound editor and graphics

• Manage assignment of projects to editors, ensuring full optimization of resources and timely delivery of projects

• Ensure post team is continuously adopting innovative and fresh editing techniques.

• Handle font libraries, plug-ins, and any rights clearance related to graphics

• Develop and maintain decision support operational metrics, including efficiency, rejection rate, capacity, etc., across Post-Production & Graphics Operations teams

• Build and maintain industry-recognized post-production talent

• Address and resolve escalations with clients

• Prepare long term strategic vision for post-production and graphics operations

• Prepare annual post-production & graphics operations budgets

• Partner with operations team on business justification of capital requests, deployment, and measurement against objectives

• Build and maintain client relationships across the various Telemundo Enterprises businesses, as well as with external clientele

• Build pool of external vendors with competitive rates for both editing and graphics services

• Proactively foster a positive team environment through performance feedback, coaching and counseling, and performance issue remediation



• 10+ years’ experience working in both video post-production and graphics operations

• 5+ years’ experience in management

• Extensive experience with new and emerging digital production and post-production technologies, remote services, new media platforms, and evolving broadcast, and other distribution outlets

• Strong experience implementing operational optimization, including development of performance metrics, best practices, standard operating procedures, zero defect programs, etc.

• Strong background in asset management with the ability to ensure maximum utilization of assets across all productions

• Significant experience with Avid, Autodesk Inferno/Smoke, CG systems, Miranda, ProTools, ScheduALL, Xytech, and other related technologies

• Skilled with Powerpoint, Excel, Visio, and other related systems and applications
