The Director of Talent Relations will act as a liaison between NBCUniversal on-air talent, their representatives and internal network Talent Relations teams and Business Affairs teams to support and manage business initiatives for the NBCU Ad Sales Portfolio team for personal appearances, custom content shoots and our Portfolio wide Upfront Event and Upfront Marketing shoots. This position will also develop and implement a strategic approach to engage talent across the organization for the Portfolio Ad Sales Marketing group. This position reports into the VP, Executive Producer.


• Work in collaboration with NBCUniversal Advertising Sales organization to oversee internal talent relations, strategy, and partnerships.

• Lead strategy in securing internal NBCU Talent for NBCUniversal associated industry festivals, conferences, and corporate events (Ad Week, CES, Cannes Lions, etc).

• Liaise with Network Talent Relations Teams to execute pre-event logistics (i.e. travel, facilitate introductions of talent/reps to event project manager(s), send talent itineraries, etc.), provide on-site talent coverage & support, as well as post-event follow-up, including facilitating contracts, talent payments and required approvals.

• Create and maintain NBCU Talent Production and NBCU Advertising Sales Calendar (Specifically Talent Requested Events); Set Talent Look-Ahead Meetings

• Engage highest profile Talent early with the organization’s most important priorities, while highlighting the potential of additional impactful opportunities throughout the year.

• Cultivate meaningful relationships directly between Talent and Ad Sales, enabling even greater future collaboration, leveraging the portfolio, and creating new Talent-to-client partnership opportunities.

• Work with talent to seek out opportunities that compliment and/or enhance NBCU portfolio Advertising Content and to NBCUniversal-invested Partners providing additional strategic opportunities for NBCU Talent while adding value to our Partners.

• Implement process and procedures to engage, track and manage talent requests


• Demonstrate a widespread and comprehensive understanding of the diverse and vast brands of the NBCUniversal portfolio, as well as relationships with NBCU Talent, show & brand leaders and producers, publicists, marketers, and critically, with talent personal representation (Agents, Managers, Publicists) to maximize efficiency and strategically identify NBCU Talent for each event.

• Experienced in dealing with Talent, Talent management teams (agents, lawyers, managers and publicists) including having relationships large and smaller talent agencies and management firms in the industry

• Knowledge on Talent Guilds and structuring business deal terms for legal agreements



• 5+ years of Talent Relations or Talent Booking experience

• Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines as well as able to multi-task and handle multiple projects and talent deals simultaneously

• Must be excellent communicator

• Ability to travel and work on weekends as required by ongoing projects

• Must be willing to work in New York, NY

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
