**About Us** NBCUniversal is launching a new Telemundo-owned station in Washington, D.C. This project will expand NBC Washington / WRC-TV’s news staff with a new team of Spanish-speaking and bilingual journalists to launch the new station. Both news teams will serve local Spanish- and English-speaking viewers in the greater Washington, D.C. region. The new Telemundo station team will work closely with WRC-TV’s team members in the existing facility that is home to NBC Washington.

NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations is the division of NBCUniversal that includes 30 NBC and Telemundo local television stations, a regional news network and their associated websites and digital platforms, as well as a group of out-of-home properties, a production company, an in-house marketing and promotions company and two national multicast networks, COZI TV and TeleXitos. The local stations, which can be viewed in 37 percent of U.S. homes and in Puerto Rico, produce and deliver their local communities compelling and unique local news, real-time weather forecasts, consumer and investigative reports and entertainment programming across all platforms to help keep their English and Spanish-speaking audiences informed anytime and anywhere.

Provide day to day Control Room Production Operation services and technical support for broadcasts that are disseminated through a variety of multi-channel platforms 365 days a year. Responsibilities include:

Job Duties

+ Coding and technical execution of local news and programming utilizing the Ross Overdrive Automated Production Control environment

+ Technical production of broadcasts using a range of manual and automated processes

+ Provide direction to talent and other production crew members

+ Operate Audio, Graphic and clip playback server operation

+ Responsible for the ultimate technical quality of productions

+ Additional duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications

+ Minimum 3 years of Directing or Technical Directing local news broadcasts in a medium market to large market

+ Must be willing to work in Washington, D.C.

+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required

+ Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV on to be considered

**Desired Characteristics**

Desired Qualifications

+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) both written and verbal

+ Experience with advanced production switcher operation and setup, manual and automated graphics play out

+ Robotic camera operation and server playback and ingest operations experience a plus

+ Proficient in GrassValley/Stratus and Edius operation

+ Must have strong oral /written communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure and deadlines

+ Ability to work under tight deadlines

+ Must demonstrate ability to remain calm under pressure, and think critically

+ Must exhibit strong leadership skills

+ Team player who can also work independently and is a self-starter

+ Solid news judgment
