DreamWorks Animation is looking for a highly motivated Production Technology Coordinator to coordinate and assist with projects within the Production Technology Department. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to help maintain and improve processes to keep track of project schedule needs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have strong organizational and communication skills and be detail oriented.


+ Gathers, enters, and/or updates data to generate reports that keep management and team members informed of project status.

+ Assists in the coordination, supervision, and completion of job-related duties as assigned.

+ Serves as a primary point of direct administrative contact and liaison with other departments, and external vendors on a range of specified issues; organizes and facilitates meetings, conferences, and other special events, as required.

+ Collaborates and assists Production Supervisor in all evolving support needs, i.e. daily scrums, calendar booking, creating and revising Jira dashboards.

+ Understands the department and works with Supervisor to maintain the department schedule.

+ Works with Production Supervisor with ensuring departmental milestones and productivity goals are consistently met.

+ Proactively addresses any areas of concerns/issues on the floor and elevates information appropriately to Production Supervisor.

+ Effectively communicates with artists regarding timelines. Directs employees in prioritizing tasks when necessary.

+ Takes notes during rounds or scrums and distributes information to the department afterwards.

+ Stays abreast of issues on the floor via artist and developer check-ins and elevates information appropriately to Production Supervisor.

**Desired Characteristics**

+ Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Excellent communication skills.

+ Software packages including Google Calendar, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) are required. Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence is desired.

+ Project Management/Coordination skills and experience is a plus.

+ Basic understanding of a feature animation production pipeline is a plus.

+ Experience with production management software, such as Shotgun, is a plus.
