Telemundo Enterprises seeks an EHS Specialist. The successful candidate will work with the EHS Manager to ensure Telemundo is in compliance with NBCUniversal Global Environmental, Health & Safety programs and government requirements

• Assist with implementation of the EHS programs on Remote locations, NBCUniverso, Telemundo Internacional offices and Mexico News Bureau aimed at reducing injury and illness rates, enhancing communication in the workforce and ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Conduct daily/weekly/quarterly inspections to ensure compliance with EHS programs on all locations.

• Collection, review, analysis and accurate recordkeeping of the business injury and illness data.

• Assist with safety committee meetings and training at all locations including remotes.

• Participate in Incident and Accident Investigations to determine root-cause and ensure identified issues are addressed with corrective actions and follow up to closure.

• Assist management and operating teams to verify compliance with NBCU requirements and government regulations in stages, buildings, and offsite location productions.

• Interface effectively with outside agencies, vendors, and all levels of employees as directed.

• Maintain accurate records: write inspections reports, accident investigation reports in a timely manner, and Site surveys using the proper Gensuite tools.


• AS or BS Degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.

• 5 year experience in Environmental, Health and Safety.

• Very knowledgeable of OSHA, DOT, FAA and EPA regulations.

• Able to work independent or with minimum supervision.

• Able to interact with all levels of employees and management as required.

• Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent recordkeeping skills.

• Proficiency in computer skills, Excel, MS Word, Power Point required.

• Detail oriented/Team oriented.

• Bi-lingual Spanish/English required.

• Own transportation required.

• Ability to work nights and weekends when necessary.

• Extensive travel required.
