Role Purpose

The Executive Producer is the key manager who liaises between in-house creative teams, commercial production companies, and/or show productions to oversee the production process. As on-set supervisor, the Executive Producer oversees the budgetary, logistical, and physical production needs of the shoot, while also managing network needs, talent, vendors, and clients. This position reports to the Senior Executive Producer.


• Work with networks to determine production needs in support of creative requests, including budget forecasts and/or production approach

• Hire and manage production companies, production services, and/or directors

• Review, negotiate and approve bids from commercial production companies

• Estimate and execute union and non-union talent contracts

• Understand basics of production legal requirements and work with counsel to create and execute contracts and agreements

• Liaise between in-house creative teams, commercial production companies, agencies, freelance producers and/or show productions to facilitate project coordination and execution

• Generate internal production calendars

• Manage internal creative, sales, press, talent and marketing teams to ensure projects are on schedule and on budget

• Track overall live action shoot budgets and meet weekly with Senior Executive Producer to review actuals


Basic Qualifications

• College Degree

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Line Producer or higher on commercial, network or series production, regularly working with project budgets in excess of $250k

• Demonstrated knowledge of Union and Guild rules and requirements

• Prior experience working with celebrity and non-celebrity talent, talent agents/managers/handlers, and casting agencies/directors.

• Experience in marketing for major consumer products and brands

• Knowledge of technical aspects of video production, including current cameras and gear, specifications, and post production workflows

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and production budgeting templates such as Point Zero or Movie Magic

• Prior experience at advertising agency, production company, or television network

Eligibility Requirements
