International Studios announced the founding of Heyday Television in 2015, a joint venture with award winning film producer David Heyman (Harry Potter, Gravity, Paddington) which is intended to produce premium, long-form scripted programming for both UK and US markets.

International Studios has a first look deal with Hardy Son & Baker (led by Tom Hardy, an international film actor, and his producing partner, Dean Baker) and owns Tellycopter, a research and development resource that sits alongside its production companies.

Outside the UK, NBCUniversal International Studios owns Australia-based Matchbox Pictures, producers of critically-acclaimed drama series The Slap, and co-owns LARK Productions in Canada, producer of long-running procedural Motive and Real Housewives of Vancouver.

International Studios also operates NBCUniversal Formats – a global format sales team which represents the international rights to a broad slate of programming, including reality, lifestyle, entertainment and scripted shows produced by NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Style, Syfy, G4, Carnival, Chocolate, LARK, Lucky Giant, Matchbox, and Monkey Kingdom. The FP&A Manager is a key role to provide the finance team management, production companies and the business leaders with accurate and timely financial planning support including preparation of title ultimates, as well as quarterly forecasts, annual budget, long range plan and management reporting.


• Ownership of Production Studios P&Ls: Deliver forecasting, reporting, and scenario analysis for each studio, providing insight and analytics

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of title ultimates (lifetime forecast) to assess return on investment of new shows and monitor performance of existing titles

• Provide detailed pacing and variance analysis for Operating Cash Flow and Free Cash Flow with accurate and timely submission to Corporate

• Oversee the preparation of standard monthly reports and key metrics tracking including TV & Home Video distribution, development and headcount

• Business partnering and management reporting responsibility for various groups, provide monthly/quarterly performance updates, deal tracking and general finance support

• Deliver by title forecasts for financial planning cycles: Budget, Long Range Plan, Quarterly Estimates, Pacing and Ultimates reviews. Provide detailed variance analysis with accurate and timely submission to NBCUniversal Corporate

• Evaluate actual performance and provide insightful support to business and commercial teams acting as a key finance business partner

• Management reporting deliverables including Budget Presentations, Operating Reviews, Executive Board Papers and key metrics (e.g. sales performance by territory, Programming spend) information to various stakeholders in International Studios and the NBCUniversal corporate teams.

• Free Cash Flow, manage cash flow reporting, working with production accountants and controllership, monitoring production spend and cash receipts

• Work closely with the Controllership team in support of the quarterly close process.

• Support the system upgrade project for the forecasting tool ‘SMART’ partner with IT project leads to provide business user feedback and perform testing. Upon upgrade delivery, define processes to leverage tool capabilities to improve planning and reporting.

• Continuously improve and streamline business forecasting methods and processes.

• Manage FP&A Intern and provide support to junior analysts

• Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.


• Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA) with wide ranging planning and commercial finance experience

• Strong PC skills - SAP/BW experience preferred, strong Excel & PowerPoint

• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, report formats, PowerPoint etc.

• Proactive & solution focused with high attention to detail

• Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact across cultural & business environments

• Enthusiastic self-starter with an ambition to grow through the role

• Willingness to work the hours as required by a high growth business

• Strong technical skills, controllership experience an advantage

• TV, Media and relevant industry experience is preferable

• Previous experience of Ultimates Accounting would be preferable
