UPHE Content Group is an independent mini-studio within the infrastructure of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and distribution footprint of NBCUniversal. With offices around the world and central headquarters in London, the UPHE Content Group discovers, acquires and produces a diverse range of quality content across a multitude of genres (film, stand-up comedy, TV drama/sitcoms, music, sports, documentary, family entertainment, events & special interest) for global distribution. It’s multiplatform sales & distribution footprint includes theatrical, physical, digital (SVOD & Transactional), TV (Free & Pay) as well as consumer products. The business uniquely focuses on managing talents, partnerships, brands and titles across all rights and across their full lifecycle. It is a business rooted in Artists and repertoire (A&R) culture, driven by relationships, innovation and ambitious growth plans.


This position will serve as a critical role within the Marketing team for UPHE Content Group helping create digital media strategies across global markets and the full multi-channel lifecycle of our content. This digital leader will be an influential, analytical, and innovative marketer who can work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign strategy and oversight

• Provide strategic guidance to marketing team for Digital Media campaigns (Display, Video, Paid Social) and provide recommendations around KPIs, tracking and performance measurement

• Review plans and challenge media agency where necessary

• Work with PR and Marketing to plan, execute, and evaluate success of trailer breaks

• Take the lead on key title central media buy initiatives and work with Marketing Managers and local teams to execute globally

• Review reports and results and manage communications between the team and agencies. Incorporate learnings into future plan recommendations

• Continuously improve campaign performance through detailed optimization and budget management

Broader initiatives

• Ensure team is constantly aware of developments and trends within Digital Media

• Manage relationship with key media partners such as Facebook, Google , Amazon ensuring the team has access to insights and new test and learn opportunities

• Develop relationship with other key Digital media leads across NBCU to share learnings and work on Business wide projects (eg Data)

• Provide recommendations/best practice to team to ensure consistency of approach

• Constantly test new digital platforms and innovative ways to drive brand awareness. sales and key performance indicators (i.e. brand lift, engagements etc.)

• Formulate ongoing digital media partnerships to deliver cutting edge innovation and exposure above and beyond standard campaigns

Required Skills/Experience

• 7-10 yrs Digital marketing experience (in house or agency)

• Experience within the entertainment industry or with a major brand preferable

• Interest in working across a diverse range of content

• Thorough understanding of Facebook and Google (YouTube, DBM, DCM) digital media platforms and reporting / analysis capabilities

• Experience in additional Paid Social platforms (Twitter, SnapChat)

• Understanding of Paid Search auction dynamics and optimization approaches

• Understanding of DMPs and programmatic platforms

• Experience designing and measuring media and audience-based tests in a variety of channels

• Strong analytical skills and experience working in metrics-based companies

• Proven ability to deliver innovative campaigns on tight budgets & in a timely manner

• Clear communication skills with the ability to adapt style to audience

• Influential and confident presenter

• Ability to work individually and with cross functional teams

• Experience and familiarity with emerging media and digital technologies

• Comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a fast moving, ever changing environment.

• Enthusiastic team player, with a flexible approach to role and ways of working

• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and be very flexible in a fast paced, changing environment
