This role is a pivotal position within the EMEA Regional Hub for our Central and Eastern Europe territories, currently Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Russia and Switzerland. This role will play a critical part in evolving the way we operate today by supporting the country HR model within this region as well as taking the Commercial HR partnership and NBCU employee experience in country to the next level.


This role is responsible for creating and implementing the people agenda to support NBCUniversal in Central and Eastern Europe and its businesses priorities whilst equally each representing business’ interests.


• Partner with the NBCUniversal Leaders in Central and Eastern Europe to develop an HR agenda that supports the businesses growth plans and strategies for the region, work as part of the business leadership teams to take ownership and drive the overall success of the businesses. Ensure the HR is fit for purpose and be able to proactively attract, develop and retain talent.

• Coach, develop and challenge the NBCU Leaders on the execution of growth plans and on people leadership / agenda.

• Provide in country expertise as well as being able to be forward thinking as well as operational for the full scope of HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, reward, employee engagement and organizational design and change

• Manage annual business cycles, including talent review, performance management, headcount planning & budget management in Central and Eastern Europe.

• Ensure successful delivery of HR workstreams of strategic global / international or regional projects and growth plans

• Contribute to broader regional HR agenda for NBCUniversal EMEA; active participant and collaborator within the EMEA HR team

• Build and maintain effective partnerships with specialist HR teams;


• Highly experienced, capable and commercially driven individual with a proven ability to deliver the HR People Agenda within a multi business and multi country environment.

• Extensive and diverse HR experience across a wide variety of business and specialist roles and locations.

• Demonstrated solid experience of employment law and regulation within Central and Eastern Europe.

• Ability to work at all level & have sufficient stature to be an ambassador of NBCU / HR in EMEA

• Ability to navigate through a complex matrix business and provide the appropriate partnership and support to Senior Stakeholders Strong People management skills with the ability and experience to evolve a team to a new way of operating moving forward..

• Outstanding influencing skills with the ability to identify and translate key priorities and strategies into a deliverable framework which your team will execute in the most efficient and streamlined way.

• Excellent relationship and communication skills and be able to adapt between the cultural nuances of areas/businesses within your remit.

• Ability to collaborate and work in conjunction with HR colleagues and peers globally to deliver.

• Intellectually curious and willing to challenge the status quo by providing solutions that continue to drive and improve efficiencies for the business.

• Experience of leading HR teams, across multiple locations, with a proven ability to motivate, develop and engage your team.

• Fluent in German/English

• Able to work in Germany

Qualifications/ Requirements

• Degree level business qualification.

• Extensive professional HR experience with global exposure.

• Flexibility with required schedule and travel demands.
