SUMMARY: Opportunities in Mechanical Engineering will include exposure to project management, drawing updates, data integrity, analytical skills, and much more.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:





+ Understanding organization and planning efforts of the Master Planning phase.



+ Understanding the various facility interfaces.



+ Problem Formulation.



+ Performing various types of analysis.



+ Ensuring accuracy and integrity of data during capture and input into maintenance management systems.



+ Assisting with projects during design phases and providing updates.



+ Assisting with updates to policies and specifications.



+ Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.



+ Perform other duties as assigned.













Requirements







REQUIREMENTS:





+ In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution



+ Current class standing of Sophomore or above



+ Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (official transcripts available upon request)



+ Consistent attendance is a job requirement



+ Approximate dates of this internship are from late August 2017 – early December 2017



+ Availability requirement typically includes 24-40 hours per week; Monday through Friday (may include weekends)



+ Preferred majors include: Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Controls Engineering; Computer Science; Computer Engineering



+ Related Coursework: Machine Design; Dynamics; Vibrations; Motors/Circuits; Software Design





PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:





+ Experience with AutoCad or Solidworks preferred



+ Technical Patent management experience preferred. Any experience in Theme park development, construction, show and ride systems design or fabrication is preferred.



+ Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint



+ Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization



+ Exceptional attention to detail



+ Superior written & verbal communication skills



+ Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines



+ Ability to maintain confidentiality



+ Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams



+ Prior internship experience is preferred
