SUMMARY: Assist the Park Wide Paint Director in the daily tasks of organization, preparing for presentations, tracking and organizing color boards, creating, tracking and organizing samples, build orders and other design documents. May include a small amount of actual color design work or hands on paint work.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:





+ In-taking files from colorboard vendor on the organization. Converting files received in PSD, to pdfs and jpegs. Uploading and sharing documents. Checking for errors and updates. Distribution of all project related documentation for both executive review and for use by both inter-departmental partners and third party vendors.



+ Maintaining spreadsheets, updating, organize documents and maintaining color prints.



+ Well versed in digital palettes in Photoshop.



+ Assist in writing up Scope of Work documents and assembling documents for sourcing color and paint work. Including International Project



+ Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.







+ Perform other duties as assigned.













Requirements







REQUIREMENTS:





+ In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution



+ Current class standing of Sophomore or above



+ Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (official transcripts available upon request)



+ Consistent attendance is a job requirement



+ Approximate dates of this internship are from mid August 2017 - early December 2017



+ Availability requirement typically includes 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday (may include weekends)



+ Preferred majors include: Art, Paint Design, Theater, Fine Arts, , Themed Entertainment Design









PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:





+ Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint



+ Working knowledge of Photoshop, Digital Photography, Blue Beam, Illustrator, Sketch up and AutoCAD helpful but not required.



+ Theatrical or film/TV background is preferred



+ Interest in theme parks or theme park design



+ Production Assistant background preferred



+ Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization



+ Exceptional attention to detail



+ Superior written & verbal communication skills



+ Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines



+ Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams



+ Prior internship experience is preferred
