REVENUE ACCOUNTING: This Internship is for Summer 2017

SUMMARY: The Revenue Accounting team is seeking an intern to assist with auditing daily activities for various areas of Universal Orlando.


+ Verify and reconcile Point of Sale (POS) data to actual Cashier sales totals.

+ Adjust POS/cashier data for final posting to the general ledger.

+ Research documents and report discrepancies.

+ Inform management of any suspicious transactions.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE: This Internship is for Summer 2017

SUMMARY: The Accounts Receivable team is seeking an intern to assist with daily clerical tasks with exposure to non-clerical processes of Universal Orlando.


+ Clerical:

+ Organize, scan and mail Universal Orlando (UO)-generated invoices, and organize supporting documents.

+ Assist Finance Teams to research urgently needed checks prior to scanning.

+ Organize and record bulk return tickets to support the void ticket process.

+ Record payment checks daily and ship to the Central Cashing Facility (CCF) for recording/deposit.

+ Non-Clerical:

+ Perform administrative and routine tasks in preparing invoices: applying payments and voiding & refunding ticket inventory as dictated by the particular AR desk function.

+ Use basic knowledge of math and Excel spreadsheets to understand and manipulate billing materials and instructions.

+ Intermittent project work.

VAULT: This Internship is for Summer 2017

SUMMARY: The Vault team is seeking an intern to assist with counting and revenue processing for various areas of Universal Orlando.


+ Preparing revenue bags for processing revenue in all forms (currency, coin, checks, traveler’s checks and Universal Dollars) for various divisions of Universal Orlando.

+ Using high speed currency counter machines, coin sorters, and coin wrappers.

+ Processing revenue for all Food Service, Merchandise and Operations divisions for Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay and CityWalk.

+ Working with general office equipment such as computers, copiers, shredders, scanners, and printers.

+ Use proficient hand and eye coordination for tasks like using keyboards, currency counters, coin sorters and wrappers.

+ Able to lift 20-50 pounds.


+ Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

+ Consistent attendance and punctuality is a job requirement.

+ Must be an actively enrolled High School Senior for the Fall 2017 semester.

+ Must be pursuing a Finance track within high school curriculum.

+ Must be available to work up to 40 hours for Summer 2017.

+ Must have attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

+ Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel).

+ Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

+ Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

+ Must have ability to write simple correspondence.

+ Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

+ Respect, confidentiality, strong ethics and integrity.


While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:

+ Regularly (2/3 and more) sit, talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.

+ Occasionally (1/3 of the time or less) stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
