Primary Responsibilities of the Junior Product Manager:

End to end management of allocated theatrical studio releases ("smaller titles") with guidance of Product Manager:

- Work closely with the Product manager to develop strategic direction for each allocated release.

- Responsible for managing the development and implementation of tailored marketing plans for designated Universal, Paramount and Sony theatrical releases within a specified budget.

- Brief and lead the management of external agencies including creative and media to ensure plans and creative are in line with the strategic positioning as directed.

- Manage social agency from briefing to film release to deliver consistent content delivery across the overarching film release campaigns

- Review and optimize digital media plans based on understanding of paid, owned and earned channels

- Work closely with the Publicity and Trade & Partnership teams to ensure creative deliverables are produced in line with the marketing plan.

- Champion each assigned film to ensure it receives the necessary attention and focus from organisation and agencies.

Specific Responsibilities:

Campaign Development:

• For each assigned Universal, Paramount and Sony theatrical release develop a fully integrated marketing plan with a clear communication strategy, a defined target audience. Ask guidance from team or manager when appropriate.


• Responsible for delivering each project within the agreed P&L budget and for achieving the best possible balance between value for money and quality for each activity.


• Host, as required by the Product Manager, regular team updates to ensure the Publicity, Trade and Partnership teams are generating fresh and relevant ideas, that campaigns are evolving in line with expectations of the release.

• Regular updates with Product Manager and Marketing Director.

• Partnering with Head office.


• On allocated titles:

- Monitor paid media performance across all major digital platforms to ensure proper delivery against audiences and relevant KPIs.

- Work with the different teams on content rollout, identifying asset gaps and territory-specific needs.

- Responsible for regular digital reporting and measurement against KPIs

- Manage social agency briefing process, review and approve content calendar and community management and ensure assets and tone are appropriately utilized.


• Ensure all Marketing Strategy documents are well drafted, accurate and up to date within the planning system.


• Responsible for adapting, developing and implementing the creative campaign and communications strategy for each theatrical release.

• Ensure that all communication going out from different individuals/functions is on strategy and within guidelines.


• Ensure all agencies appointed to work on titles are accurately briefed in writing with expectations clearly outlined.

• Proactively manage agencies as needed to deliver quality and advantaged plans and materials.

• Strive to achieve a balance between value for money and quality with each agency.


• Work with the Publicity team to ensure the publicity team is an integrated part of the planning and implementation process for every campaign.


• Seek out new and different approaches and ideas to bring freshness to each film. Ensure that recommended ideas are within strategy.

• Proactively bring new and different ideas and examples of innovative marketing – whether tactical or strategic – to attention of marketing team to spark new thinking.


Experience and Qualifications:

- Educated to Academic (WO) or Bachelor (HBO) level, preferably in a Marketing area.

- Approx. 1-3 years’ work experience in a similar role within the movie, media or entertainment business.

- Experience in Dutch movie marketing and knowledge of the Dutch theatrical landscape is a plus.

- Experience of media buying and creative development.

- Knowledge of digital marketing – social and paid media.

- Passion for movies.

- Accurate & precise.

- Problem solving & decision making skills. Able to work to tight planning and deadlines.

- Able to take on ad hoc responsibilities.

- Team player.

- No 9 to 5 mentality. constantly creative, promotes innovation and takes initiative.

- Commercial mindset and ambitious.

- Strong language skills.

- Fluent in Dutch and English both speaking & writing.

- Microsoft Office, with strong Power point skills

- Experience in Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
