Universal Orlando™ Resort is NOW HIRING top talent individuals into ourManagement TraineeProgram! This 26 week program offers paid training in hospitality leadership skills and prepares Trainees to be successful in a Food & Beverage Management position at Universal Orlando™. Following successful completion of the program, Trainees will be considered for leadership opportunities in our Food & Beverage department.



Management Traineesat Universal Orlando are responsible for:





+ Successfully completing all on-the-job training for assigned functional area to ensure competence of appropriate tasks required of an entry-level management position.



+ Developing and demonstrating tactical operations skills as applicable to assigned functional area.



+ Successfully completing all formal classroom training consistent with program design and any other applicable training courses.



+ Developing and demonstrating leadership competencies consistent with those expected of Universal Orlando leaders, while applying classroom and practical learning experiences.



+ Completing individual assignments as directed by supervising manager/mentor and/or Learning & Development team.



+ Completing assigned projects in a thorough and timely manner.



+ Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.



+ Performing other duties as assigned.













Requirements







To perform the role of aManagement Traineesuccessfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.





+ Consistent attendance is a job requirement.



+ To be eligible for the program, Trainees must meet one of the following combinations of education and experience in an employment leadership role:



+ 5 years' experience in a leadership role with a High school Degree or GED.



+ 3 years’ experience in a leadership role with an Associate’s Degree.



+ 1 year experience in a leadership role with a Bachelor’s Degree.









The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of theManagement Traineejob.





+ Regularly requires talking, hearing audible alarms, voice commands with background noise,Use of hands and fingers to grip, pinch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and ability to smell.



+ Regularly requires close vision with or without corrective lens.(clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision with or without corrective lens.(clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision(ability to identify and distinguish colors),peripheral vision(ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point),depth perception (vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), ability to adjust focus.



+ The individual will regularly be required to maintain alertness and attentiveness up to 4 hours while working varying hours and maintain concentration/focus (e.g., ability to interpret the work environment and make decisions on predetermined operating policies and procedure).



+ Frequently requires standing for prolonged periods,walking for prolonged periods (including ability to walk at a given pace that is predetermined by a moving sidewalk), maintaining balance.



+ Occasionally requires sitting for prolonged periods, climbing stairs / ladders, use of repeating motions more than twice per minute such as input device-a keyboard or mouse-in a steady manner.



+ The individual may occasionally be require to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach, pull, push with hands and arms above and below head, work in an environment subject to vibrations, lift up to 50 pounds with control, push up to 100 pounds with control.



+ Occasionally requires ability to work in varied light conditions including low or diminished lighting, ability to work in an environment with flashing lights including strobe lamps, and the ability to taste.





The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of theManagement Traineejob.





+ Be exposed to workingin outdoor weather conditions to include direct sunlight, heat or cold.



+ Be exposed toextreme cold and extreme heat (non-weather).



+ Will require working with compressed gas cylinders or tanks.



+ Will require working with toxic or caustic chemicals, hazardous chemicals, fluorescent lamps or batteries.



+ Be exposed to bodily fluids including: blood, vomit, etc.



+ Noise Level-Loud Noise (Noise when raised conversation is needed).
