The Manager, Accounting and Controllership plays an important role on the Content Distribution finance team, carrying out key aspects of the monthly and quarterly close for revenue and cost, preparing balance sheet analysis and reporting, providing accounting support for various business transactions and projects and participating in controllership functions including audit, policy compliance and account reconciliations. The role is also responsible for communicating key accounting information timely and accurately to FP&A to ensure forecast accuracy and facilitate variance analysis.


+ Ensure close deliverables are completed accurately and timely and participate in quarterly pre-close meetings with Finance leadership, including the CFO.

+ Prepare quarterly balance sheet reviews and participate in presentations to Finance leadership and the CFO.

+ Prepare and maintain accounting schedules for a broad range of business activities, partnering with other finance teams and other functional departments as needed to validate information and assumptions.

+ Understand, prepare and record required journal entries; independently verify source data.

+ Prepare account reconciliations for applicable balance sheet accounts in a timely manner.

+ Participate in discussions with Senior Leadership within Content Distribution and at Corporate regarding new contracts to ensure revenue is properly reflected and reported.

+ Verify that the billing database has been updated accurately and timely for deal activity each month.

+ Assist Controller in performing controls testing, fulfilling audit requests and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements. Participate in policy compliance efforts (e.g., corporate travel and entertainment policy compliance) as required.

+ Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed, including in support of FP&A and other groups within the Finance department.

+ Participate in ad-hoc accounting and finance projects, including various Corporate initiatives.


Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or related field

+ Minimum 3-4 years previous experience in accounting role

+ Experience with P&L, Balance sheet, and General ledger

+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills; asks good questions; participates actively in team discussions

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team player

+ Outstanding organizational and follow up skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

+ Demonstrates initiative and ownership over scope of responsibility

+ Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements

+ Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPointAdditional Job Requirements
