The Ad Sales Finance Manager is responsible for core ad sales finance processes and is a key player on the team supporting a variety of brands within the Lifestyle Portfolio. This role provides the unique opportunity to gain a solid understanding of NBCU Ad Sales through daily exposure/interaction with Pricing, Sales, Planning, Marketing, Research, and Division Finance functions.

• Collaborate with the networks within the Lifestyle Portfolio & Ad Sales Finance teams in ownership of key sales forecasts (Budget/Long Range Plan/Estimates), assumptions (Pricing, Inventory Utilization, Traffic Performance, etc.) and regular tracking against these targets

• Partner with Network Sales and Planning teams regarding but not limited to all elements of the pricing and sales forecasting process

• Support Sales Management and team in setting sales strategy to maximize revenue through in-depth revenue modeling and analytics

• Prepare weekly cash pacing and revenue estimates

• Assess and communicate revenue risks and opportunities to Finance and Sales Senior Management by identifying core drivers i.e. ratings, volume, marketplace

• Analyze Upfront and Scatter pricing and make-good efficiency trends and analyses

• Evaluate and manage commercial unit allocations to maximize revenue

• Perform revenue modeling for program acquisitions, program profitability analyses, preemption analyses, and financial impact of schedule changes

• Work with Sales & Planning on client and category mix and pricing and cash target analyses

• Responsible for quarterly financial closes and balance sheet reconciliations, including general ledger posting of revenue actuals and accruals as well as controllership in the ad sales financial close process

• Improve existing reporting and modeling tools to provide better analytics

• Assist with ad hoc analyses/requests


Qualifications/Requirements :

• Four year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college or university, preferably in Finance or business-related field

• Minimum 4+ years of experience at a media company, agency, sales organization or in finance, pricing, or planning groups

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
