**Responsibilities**

Here what you’ll do in this role



+ Primary development and ongoing maintenance (in conjunction with the business units) for business continuity plans within individual lines of business using standard tools and mutually agreed upon standards and customized solutions

+ Development and execution of business continuity and resiliency exercises within lines of business

+ Identify and liaise with Business Continuity Coordinators (within business units) to develop effective working relationships and plans

+ Perform risk analyses for individual business areas to identify points of vulnerability, single points of failure and identify risk avoidance and mitigation strategies

+ Develop status reports and metrics on departmental continuity plans and prepare management summary reports

+ Coordinate response and resource allocation to business units during crisis events

+ Prepare requirements for, plan and coordinate all business continuity testing and yearly milestone requirements

+ Other projects as assigned

**Qualifications/Requirements**

+ Minimum 5 years’ experience in business continuity, crisis planning, emergency management, facilities/critical systems management, security planning, or related role

+ • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale system implementations and change managementFine Print for Eligibility

+ Required to be available at any time to coordinate crisis management activities during an emergency

+ Must be willing to travel between NBCUniversal properties domestically, up to 30% of the time

+ Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and respond off hours in crisis situations

**Desired Characteristics**



+ Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Business Continuity or other related discipline

+ Certified Business Continuity Professional (DRII CBCP) or equivalent industry certification

+ Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent

+ Consultative-style – able to provide excellent client-service while also able to diplomatically push back with alternate approaches or solutions hands-on and tactical with the ability to implement and execute

+ Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management

+ Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills

+ Excellent personal leadership skills – proven ability to build, develop and motivate a team

+ Proactive, well organized and results-oriented, with the ability to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously

+ Experience managing complex projects and providing solutions to business challenges

+ Prior experience in production or media, financial services or public safety industries preferred

+ Proven success in process improvement for large, complex operations
