Here what you’ll do in this role

+ Support the Global Real Estate team in planning and executing real estate transactions

+ On a weekly basis, analyze and report projects in the applicable portfolio that optimize real estate outcomes for and add value to NBCU, and that responds to the specific dynamics of the local real estate market

+ Develop strong working relationships with NBCU business units to understand it business operations, short and long term needs and to identify efficient real estate solutions that fit within the broader context of the company’s real estate strategy

+ Proactively identify and implement real estate solutions based on critical dates and business unit requirements.

+ In coordination with Senior Managers and Directors, manage the acquisition and disposition of facilities, coordinating these activities with the appropriate management and staff functions at the various locations; this includes supporting all phases and activities involved in the acquisition, disposition, renewal and amendment of any leased or owned property

+ Identify and assess options for every deal considered. Work with internal partners and finance teams to compare alternatives from a qualitative, financial, timing and risk perspective

+ Work with in-house and outside legal counsel, as needed, in preparing all documentation relating to any transaction and thoroughly analyze and abstract lease documentation to assist in this effort

+ Coordinate lease activity from project initiation through the final execution of the lease documents, including managing third-party service providers in accordance with established service contracts and NBCU policies

+ Coordinate with the GRE Portfolio Management team to help them manage and maintain a segment of the Real Estate portfolio and Lease databases, assuring proper documentation and documentation trails for all transactions

+ Track current lease contracts and manage process for critical date actions, market and rent reviews, and audits

+ Respond to notifications that track current lease contracts and manage process for critical date actions

+ On a quarterly basis, create internal reports for Management to track real estate strategies, decisions, risks, costs and project progress to align with business plans. Also prepare reports that help Business Unit partners understand the dynamics of their real estate portfolio: total footprint, total costs, cost / head, cost / SF occupied, etc.

+ Track all qualitative and quantitative savings created throughout all GRE activities for the group


Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or related field

+ At least 3 years of direct experience in Corporate Real Estate activities including due diligence, market and property evaluations, and real estate leasing transactions

+ Minimum 3 years interpreting lease language, and negotiating agreements

+ Must be detail-oriented, analytical, with problem-solving ability and capable of managing multiple projects and tasks

+ Strong customer service and negotiation skills

+ Strong understanding of real estate, lease terminology, and financial models

+ Strong ability to understand and interpret lease language

+ Proven track record of successful real estate transactions

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

+ Ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization and management and ability to build broad external networks
