**Responsibilities**

NBC 4 New York, the NBC Owned station located in New York, is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Manager, News and Digital Promotion. Candidate must work closely with the VP, Creative and Marketing to develop 360 marketing strategies for NBC 4. Must lead team of writer/producer/editors to create engaging spots and targeted messaging on digital and social platforms. Excellent writing skills, a great eye for design, deep understanding of social media, and editing/graphic design chops are essential. Must analyze campaign performance and customer behavior to maximize future brand initiatives. Must partner effectively with News, Sales, Community and IT. A major component of the job is to work with News in the planning and production of I-Team, Consumer and Weather promotional campaigns. Must supervise and execute the placement of outside media, including detailed delivery of print, cable and digital buys. Must interface with the network, syndicators and our sister-station, Telemundo 47 on joint projects. Strong understanding of technology, shooting and editing equipment, software and social media is required. Must take training seriously and develop the team’s skills in existing and new software platforms. Must work closely with Technology & Operations to ensure that systems are organized, upgraded and maintained.



Ideal candidate will oversee creative assets across all platforms: on air, digital and out of home. This includes image campaigns, news topicals, special report promotions, POPs, billboards, print, radio and social media. Working with field research, candidate must come with ideas to build awareness and drive consumption.



Responsibilities

Candidate will also oversee the creative team and must be a strong leader with a passion for coaching and communication. Previous management experience is essential



+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

+ Ability to lead a team to achieve the station objectives.

+ Proven ability in areas of budgeting and scheduling.

+ Must be able to fill logs

+ Must review all daily and nightside topicals and attend news meetings

+ Must be available to handle issues and emergencies during nights and weekends

+ Must have advanced understanding of Premiere and After Effects to be able to coach and guide editors and graphic designers

+ Must understand and maintain current systems and software

+ Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

+ Must understand and thrive in Newsroom culture.

+ Coaching and leadership skills are essential.
