**Responsibilities**

u>Job Duties



+ Assist Director of Marketing in developing marketing plans/campaigns and implementing marketing activities to support NBC Sports Chicago

+ Manage network merchandise and premium items including inventory management

+ Assist with the planning and executing of marketing and promotional events, community outreach, and development and coordination of network events

+ Provide on-site management for network events including but not limited to team, sponsor and affiliate related events and coordinate with the outside venues and vendors

+ Assist and help to develop on-air, online and social marketing programs, including contests and promotions

+ Write live event tune-in promos and announcer copy for live events

+ Coordinate sponsorship implementation in news programming and live events

+ Send out weekly ticker messaging to Master Control

+ Maintain promos in progress spreadsheet to organize workflow for editors and writer/producers

+ Enter in marketing promos for daily logs using the Wide Orbit system

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Basic Qualifications



+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or equivalent experience

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, and/or promotions experience related to sports, media or television (internships included)

+ Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.) and Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

+ Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively relay information to internal and external departmentsAdditional Job Requirements

+ Experience working at on-site events, with an advertising agency or broadcast/cable company

+ Ability to work non-traditional hours, weekends & holidays

+ Proven strong project management skills including organization and attention to details in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment

+ Familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro editing system
