**Responsibilities**

The Marketing Director is responsible for working with key CNBC Business Day stakeholders to market and increase sales for CNBC Business Day and CNBC.com. Reporting to the VP Network Partnerships for CNBC, this position acts as the primary conduit between CNBC (editorial) teams and the sales team to effectively translate the following: a brand’s/client’s needs into actionable cross-media programs from ideation through campaign launch; and CNBC editorial initiatives into sellable opportunities.



Responsibilities:



Monetization

• Client-Specific RFPs & Brainstorms: Partner with sales to formulate marketable sales strategies that are customized to fit specific client objectives; includes brainstorming and liaising with site editorial/production teams to create compelling CNBC sales programs (reactive sales support)

• Develop New Sales Opportunities: Identify high-interest 360 experiences, new site-specific content features and emerging ad platforms that will serve as compelling thought starters for client conversations (proactive sales support)

• Optimize Sales Campaigns: Oversee the post-sales process, addressing campaign questions/refinements and maximizing campaign delivery



Strategy

• Go-to-Market: Partner with the VP of Marketing and sales leadership to regularly refine CNBC’s go-to-market strategy in order to stay competitive and relevant within the evolving digital landscape

• Packaging: Create, socialize and execute packaging strategies that leverage the CNBC brands; identify cross-platform opportunities to increase of overall client spend

• Products: Collaborate with the editorial teams to identify and develop new - ad opportunities around key product offerings including Linear, Mobile and Social Media experiences

• Leadership: Manage a team to support with all strategic initiatives



Messaging

• Sales Collateral: Create and manage portfolio of CNBC sales materials, programming/event show sheets, case studies, research one-sheets, etc.

• Internal Communication/Facilitation: Act as the point of contact for inbound CNBC marketing requests and liaise with all appropriate CNBC groups (digital sales, on-air marketing/sales, editorial, research, etc.) to facilitate efficient communication. Educate internal constituents on CNBC strategy and drive top of mind awareness within sales organization. Develop and implement a process to facilitate timely communication between Ad Sales and Editorial on a consistent basis.

• Advertising and Sponsorships: Evaluate opportunities to promote CNBC through event sponsorship, advertising and other external channels

**Qualifications/Requirements**

• 6+ years of experience at an agency, media company or sales organization, where the individual was responsible for presentation, creative and promotion development, ideally working with B-to-B, management consultants, corporate services or financial services clients.

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Strong organizational, project management, analytical and research related skills

• Familiarity with the development and execution of promotions

• Understanding of the creative development process

• Knowledge of media marketing, the sales process and media in general

• Understanding of the promotion development and execution process and experience executing promotions

• Meticulous with a keen eye for detail

• Highly innovative with positive energy

• Strong interpersonal skills - with the ability to lead interdepartmental teams and influence internal and external clients

• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Photoshop
