Reporting to the Integrated Sales Marketing Manager, The NBC 7 San Diego Marketing Planner will have four primary areas of responsibility:

1) Assist in the creation of digital marketing campaigns, development of creative assets, and execution of fulfillment strategies for multi-platform applications

2) Support Sales and Marketing team by creating custom marketing solutions for NBC advertisers

3) Provide specific data and research to support client presentations across multiple platforms

4) Formulate and adhere to a strategic plan for aggregating NBC assets to capitalize on the San Diego / CA marketplace for both new and existing clients

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Manage the development of digital campaigns and work with sellers to create targeted insertion orders

• Accurately input insertion orders into system and oversee all aspects of digital campaign execution

• Maintain strong communication with Account Executives on assets needed and digital campaign delivery

• Design and develop strong digital images, logos, mock-ups, and web pages for sales initiatives and client fulfillment as needed

• Work with sellers to obtain media proposals and develop customized marketing materials for new sales opportunities

• Effectively present ideas / solutions in PowerPoint form for sales presentations / meetings

• Provide digital strategist, marketing and emerging technologies insights to integrated media campaign pitches

• Provide research on web traffic using Omniture; incorporate Scarborough / Nielsen research as needed in sales presentations

• Assist with strategic marketing and digital campaigns as requested by Marketing Manager

• Drive on-site event marketing opportunities

• Responsible for ensuring all station sponsorships and opportunities are up-to-date (internal PowerPoint presentation archives) and online (B2B site)



• Must be proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Photoshop

• Basic knowledge of html and web-page creation

• Bachelor’s degree

• Proficient in ideation, copywriting and PowerPoint design

• Strong digital, integrated media (including social media and social CRM a plus

• Previous professional experience in television production, ad sales or marketing, web/graphic design and digital experience

• Exceptional communication, project management and presentation skills
