Based in Los Angeles, NBCUniversal Skycastle (Skycastle) is a creative services partner with the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations (NBC, Telemundo, NECN, RSN’s, COZI, etc.). Skycastle develops and produces custom content and administers marketing campaigns and promotions for Sales Clients of the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations across multiple distribution platforms, including broadcast and digital television, digital (online and mobile), and out of home. Promotional campaigns may include various elements, including: broadcast promos/commercials, branded narrative content, digital and mobile ads, sweepstakes/contests, live events, and brand/product integrations.

**Responsibilities**

The Motion Graphic Designer & Editor supports execution of projects developed by Skycastle and interfaces directly with the NBCU OTS Sales Team Strategic Partnerships Group, Sports and Olympics, Digital and Out-of-Home, as well as with the Skycastle staff, advertiser clients, outside production vendors and crews.



• The detailed management and oversight of all assigned projects

• Strong command of and hands-on experience with video editing and creation of compelling and cutting-edge motion graphics (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop & After Effects).

• Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends and be an expert multi-tasker, able to assess the needs of the current production schedule and design appropriate graphics while hitting all necessary deadlines.

• Assisting the team in creative ideation and execution of fresh marketing and production strategies.

• Must be an expert collaborator with strong leadership and management skills required to take full and independent ownership of demanding projects, while also being able to take direction from fellow Skycastle staff as projects dictate.

• Motion Graphic Designer duties will include (but not limited to): creation concept and mood boards for pitches, creation of graphics for broadcast and digital spots, creation of graphic packages for editorial team, creation of graphics for sizzle reels and other internal presentations.

• Editing duties will include (but not limited to): producing, writing and editing of internal sales presentations, editorial of broadcast and digital content, and assisting the production team as necessary to ensure all deadlines are met.

• The successful candidate will be punctual, fiscally responsible and savvy, highly organized, proactive, able to multi-task many projects, provide excellent client communication (both written and verbal) and manage both creative personalities and demanding clients with ease and diplomacy.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

• Minimum 4 years experience in motion graphic design, editorial and/or post-production.

• Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud / Premiere / editing, creating customized marketing promotions and marketing campaigns for television, new media (online, mobile), events, and /or radio.

• A high level of technological proficiency: Internet and MS applications: MS Word, Power Point, Excel, MS Outlook.

• Must be highly organized and able to manage details for multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.

• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.

• BS/BA degree or higher.

• Must have the ability and flexibility to travel occasionally.

**Desired Characteristics**

• Proven background of creative graphic development and execution of broadcast and digital content.

• Fluent in English & Spanish.

• Ongoing interest in and knowledge of current design and advertising trends.

• Fluency in DSLR technology and cinematography.

• Experience in editing reels / trailers and sales presentations.

• Excellent oral, written and presentation communications skills.

• Highly organized and able to manage details efficiently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.

• A team leader and team player with the highest level of personal integrity and a passion for flawless execution of promotional campaigns

• Possession of a reliable local industry contact database if preferred.
