**Responsibilities**

SUMMARY/POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you a seasoned “Preditor” that can create the best creative and understand the difference between web content vs. liner TV? Then we want to see your reel! We need someone who can take pre-existing clips and make something magic out of them; we want different cuts for different platforms that add to the storytelling of our shows and serve our fanatical true crime audience. The bar is high but if you think you have the chops, we’re looking for proven star. We want a Preditor who has great ideas, can think on their feet, make the viewer feel something and produce something innovative every time out. Your added ability to conceive, produce, and edit inventive short-form content will make you that much more suited for this key hire.



PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conceive, write, produce, and edit a wide range of network image campaigns, on-air promotional spots and short-form programming. Impactful writing, dazzling cutting and an innovative point of view are a must. These qualities and versatility are demonstrated on a first-rate reel along with a strong eye for graphics and great ear for music.

• Write, produce and edit from content across multiple platforms.

• With only general direction and guidance, Producer/Editor independently provides stylized, creative content, and is the driving force behind the look and feel of many projects. You will have understanding between what works digitally vs. linear TV

• Conceptualizing campaigns and pitching concepts to senior leadership.

• Executes music searches and displays strong music editing skills.

• Work in conjunction with in-house designers, audio mixers, out-of-house production companies, Off-Air, Consumer Marketing, etc.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience. Ability to juggle multiple projects through all phases of production with strong organizational and budgeting skills required.

• Candidate must possess a broad knowledge of current production and post-production techniques.

• Must have an understanding of cameras/production equipment and the ability to direct shoots.

• Must have a complete understanding of Adobe Premiere and the ability to edit multi-cam sequences.

• Must have a working knowledge of After Effects.

• A degree in TV/Film production or related field and/or specialized training in editing and editing equipment/systems is preferred.

• Good verbal, written communication and presentation skills, as well as good interpersonal skills are required.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, leadership skills, and strong analytical skills.

• Strong sound design skills a plus.

• Color grading knowledge and skills, or a desire to learn, a plus

• Passion for and knowledge of pop culture, new media and television trends.

• Candidate must have the proven ability to work independently and creatively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment, while producing high quality results and maintaining a professional attitude.
