Responsible for selling WSNS-TV, Telemundo Chicago’s multiple assets to advertising agencies and clients.


+ Work with the National Sales offices of the Company to negotiate and maximize share of transnational business for existing accounts.

+ Develop new business with unique packages and opportunities.

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and local clients as well as agency buyers, planners, account supervisors and other key agency leaders.

+ Create customized promotions and packages around existing properties.

+ Maintain knowledge of the marketplace including program changes, competitive station strategies and consistently communicate changes to the National Sales teams.

+ Present various sales opportunities to sales teams, clients and agencies.

+ Generate revenue for local events.

+ Forecast weekly, quarterly and annual revenue for the station’s VP of Sales.

+ Will travel frequently.



+ BS/BA (4-year college degree)

+ Minimum 5 years of Sales experience in local or national TV sales

+ Strong knowledge of Nielsen, Prime Lingo, Kantar and other research tools

+ Excellent computer skills with MS Office apps: Word, Excel, Power PointADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

+ Must be willing to work in Chicago, IL

+ Willing to travel and work longer hours, evenings and weekends when necessary and with short notice

+ Must have a valid driver’s license

+ Bilingual language skills strongly preferred (Spanish/English)

+ Strong customer-needs analysis skills to find best fit with Telemundo’s multiple assets

+ In-depth knowledge of and involvement in marketing and business development

+ Excellent interpersonal, listening and presentation skills

+ Ability to develop relationships with support staff, clients and with the advertising and buying community

+ Excellent negotiation, planning, persuasion and decision-making skills
