NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 San Diego Internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in television industry. Internships at NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 are paid and do not require course credit.

Application Periods

Summer – Apply online between Feb 1 and March 31. Candidates selected by April 30.

Fall – Apply online between May 1 and June 30. Candidates selected by July 31.

Winter/Spring – Apply online between September 1 and October 31. Candidates selected by November 30.

Job Duties

+ Work with broadcast equipment and learn skills in network engineering, broadcastEngineering, audio visual information storage and playout and general IT activities.

+ Assist with operations in the technical production of station news shows

+ Monitor and coordinate incoming service requests

+ Manage basic client requests from start to finish

+ Maintain superior communication with clients

+ Perform routine maintenance on a regular basis

+ Complete administrative tasks as assigned


Basic Qualifications

+ In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.

+ Current class standing of Sophomore or above

+ Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with good grammar

+ Must be familiar with Microsoft Operation Systems, MS Office applications

+ Highly proficient with computers (PC required, MAC a plus)

+ A team player with strong attention to detail

+ Someone who can work independently and takes pride in what they create

+ Must be familiar with Microsoft Operation Systems, MS Office applications

+ Must be able to lift 50 lbs
