Job Description

WXII 12 Digital Media, the Hearst Television NBC affiliate in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High Point market, has an immediate opening for full-time newscast producer.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in editorial meetings and contribute fresh ideas for newscasts
  • Be well versed in local, national and international news  
  • Serve as the newscast’s primary writer
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with reporters, photographers, video editors, assignment editors, directors, other producers and news managers
  • Be able to work under extreme deadline pressure and respond to late changes
  • Contribute both written and video content to our digital products
  • Be available for unscheduled assignments on mornings, nights, weekends and holidays

Required Experience

  • Prior newscast producing experience preferred
  • Will consider candidates with newsroom experience that includes associate producer duties
  • College degree preferred
