Job Description

WIYY-FM is looking for a high-energy part-time On-Air Announcer who knows how to tell entertaining stories. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating compelling content for both on-air and digital platforms. If you have a lively and engaging personality, then this is the opportunity for you!

Job Responsibilities:                                                

  •    Host daily on-air show 
  •    Daily show prep 
  •    Daily blog and social media posts 
  •    Commercial production 
  •    Attend station events and promotions 
  •    Attend staff meetings and one-on-one air-check meetings            

Required Skills

  • Voracious interest in pop culture trends in general (and sports and rock music in particular) as they relate to our 25-54 year old audience. 
  • Ability to communicate creatively and concisely, execute a format, and take direction. 

Required Experience

  •  Prior on-air or entertainment experience required.
  • Experience creating content for digital platforms (podcast, video, etc.) is a plus!
