**Responsibilities**

Job Summary

The Post-Production Manager is responsible for providing creative and operational leadership to NBC’s Digital post-production team and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality video. Working in collaboration with video directors, writers and our Creative Directors, the Post-Production Manager helps ensure that project’s creative vision is properly executed and delivered to NBC Digital’s technical and creative specifications. This role will is based out of our Los Angeles office and reports to the VP Digital Production.



Essential Responsibilities



+ Assist VP Digital Production in establishing creative standards and guidelines for the post-production team

+ Collaborate with creative directors, directors, writers, and editorial staff on the effective execution of each project’s creative objectives

+ Brainstorm and collaborate with the rest of the creative team on the development of new projects and proposals

+ Manage the creative workflow of the NBC’s video editorial staff, providing clear and concise creative direction to ensure the timely delivery of beautiful, high-quality cuts

+ Protect NBC’s and individual shows' “tone of voice” in the execution of all edits

+ Collaborate with writing team and research video subject matter when needed to ensure that edits are factually accurate

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including project management, social marketing, brand strategy, legal, finance and others to ensure the smooth delivery of approved materials

+ Remain accountable to project budgets and timelines, especially as it pertains to creative decisions that could impact either or both

+ Ensure editors stay true to post-production processes while creative deadlines are metQC deliverables to ensure all creative, aesthetic and legal requirements are met.

+ Provide editor recommendations and feedback when needed

+ Be able and willing to take on projects to edit as needed

+ Manage shared network resources, workspaces, project setup, storage, and deliverables

+ Respond to technical and logistical issues related to delivery and problem solve through to completion

+ Own and manage the digital division’s archive and content library

+ Maintain documentation for media, software and hardware

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Basic Qualifications:



+ 5+ years experience as a supervising producer, post-production manager, or related management role

+ Post-production technical or editing background is a major plus

+ Familiarity with workflow and resource management programs such as JIRA, Scheduall a plus

+ Proficient with Premiere Pro and other programs

+ Knowledge of motion graphics workflow and implementation

+ Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

+ Proven track record managing multiple fast-paced projects in a large organization

+ Superior oral and written communication skillsEligibility Requirements:
