**Responsibilities**

As a Producer for the TODAY show, you will be responsible for pitching, developing, and turning news of day pieces for next day air.



Job Duties



+ Produce original news content, primarily for broadcast, including research, conducting interviews, writing and editing scripts, field producing and shooting, and overseeing editing.

+ Producer is expected to both pitch story ideas and work on assigned stories developed by the editorial team.

+ Work with Standards and Legal Team to ensure Editorial Standards of all segments.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Basic Qualifications



+ Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related field of study.

+ 8+ years of experience working in production at the network level, preferably with morning television

+ 2+ years of line producing experience

+ Ability to shoot and edit

+ Strong journalistic writing skills, research skills and editorial judgment.Additional Job Requirements

+ Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice

+ Must be “on call” 24 hours a day / 7 days a week
